Fanatec Podium Hub USB Type-C Port with Custom Wheel Hub - can it work?
Now that I received the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Wheel and noticed how they used the Endurance Button Box on the wheel with the Podium Hub's USB Type-C Dataport, why can't we use that same port to use custom wheels from companies like Turn Racing's R8 wheel, or a Cube Control wheel, for example?
Fanatec allowed us to use the Podium Hub with 3rd Party Steering wheels, but I still have to use a USB Cable from my Turn Racing wheel to have the buttons work.
Doesn't that basically invalidate the point of buying a Podium Hub for custom wheels if you can't have use of a button module on the steering wheel, without the use of another USB Cable?

Nope, it's no data port so you can't connect third party wheels to that port. They still have to be plugged into a USB port on your pc directly.
It's a bad decision on their part to make such a connector and not allow a USB Passthrough on that port. I hope there's a future firmware update or something that will allow it's use for other wheels.
Extremely unlikely if not even impossible.
