Clubsport Porsche9 18 RSR wheel rotary 'skip'

As it says, My Porsche 918 wheel works fine, but the rotary switch on the right side 'skips' every 4 or 5 clicks or so.
Is this common problem? Hardware or Software? How do I fix it?
Thank you in advance.

I have exactly the same issue. The rotary encoder is just inconsistent. Skips a random number of clicks, and sometimes 4 or 5 skips as you mention. But I bought mine used, and surely there is no warranty, so I've been trying to understand if there is a replacement part that can be purchased.
This is normal and can't be fixed.
Hello Maurice. Thank you for the comment.
I'm 'glad' that this is normal.. can firmware update fix it in the future? Why does it happen?
The Porsche 918 Firmware cant be updated, no.
Thanks :( Does it happen on older wheelbases or podium only?
I have the same issue. Skips sometimes worse than other. I am Using it with the dd1 but I suspect it’s the rotary switch with the issue. I also have the formula 2019 rim and its rotary works flawlessly. It is very frustrating.
It is beyond my comprehension how the only answer is 'it's normal'.
I am ready to try to change the switch myself, but I would appreciate if somehow a part or partnmber could be provided by Fanatec.
I'm having the same problem on my F1 esports wheel.😕
I have the same issues on my V2, very frustrated. Sometimes the switch detect a positive signal and right after that it turns itselves back. I use it in F1-2020 for fuel mix, if sending it to ritch, it turns automaticly back to neutral, such a joke, pfffff.
Should be much improved with latest driver 373 and firmware 674.
