SQ Shifter 1.5 goes into 7th without pushing

I'm having a problem with my new SQ Shifter 1.5 in that engaging 7th gear does not require me to push down on the stick, so going from 4th gear to 5th gear often results in 7th gear being erroneously selected instead.
I've recalibrated a number of times but nothing changes, it'll still go into 7th without me needing to push down on the stick.
Does anybody know a way around this?

You should contact the Support as this sounds like a hardware issue.
Thanks, I've logged a support request.
Does it also go into reverse without having to push down the stick?
No, reverse is fine.
I wish mine did that - I have no idea why they decided to make 7th require pushing down. If I was you I'd just be more careful with shifting. Going from 4th to 5th should be no more difficult than going from 2nd to 3rd.
No, it's unusable as it is as 5th and 7th are effectively in the same gate.
Quick update: Fanatec are picking up the faulty shifter today, it's going for repair under warranty.
Did you do this? I thought ai was calibrating my shifter until I found out I could do this procedure. It fixed the same exact issue you are describing.
Yes, I tried calibrating both ways. Isn't that just the same as calibrating via the driver property page though, under the hood it's the same thing?
Btw I got my shifter back in about a week, all fixed and working.
