Questioning a Fanatec order: 1) poor customer service 2) August delivery?
I'm in the market for a sim racing rig and have landed on the Fanatec Forza Motorsport bundle as the combination that best suits my needs.
But in this forum I see lots of negative comments about customer service. I'm also seeing that this bundle's availability date is: Aug 7, 2020.
I know these are odd times, but that's WAY out there.
Is customer service that bad? And are we really thinking that it's not available for 3.5 months?

I guess it all depends on what you expect and what your first experience with Fanatec's support is. I never had a bad experience with Fanatec :)
You will likely see more negative comments on the forum, because people won't share their positive experience very often.

Surprised to receive the V3 pedals last week. Originally ordered with a pre order date in late May, then drifted to mid June.
I have just ordered for the first time from fanatic after deciding to upgrade from a Logitech G920 which I sold to fund this wheel and now after looking through this forum I'm worried if I'm going to get my order any time soon. Live in UK but I'm considering of cancelling my order and going somewhere else as this Is very concerning to me considering the amount of money I have spent on this product.
The comments are pretty par for the course for these forums and fanatecs response rate to customers generally.
What have you ordered? What are the availability dates for the gear you ordered?
I write it again, we all need to have patience in this time. No one can expect that Fanatec runs like they'd normally do. Higher demand than ever, products getting out of stock because of that + the unsure situation regarding new stock isn't easy atm.
All those dates are estimated and NOT promised.
I ordered £3k of stuff that was 'ready to ship' - they've got my money, no ship date, no response from any email I've sent. Total silence. I'm sure the gear is good but I wish I'd never have bothered to buy it. Covid or not - emails can still be responded to - they appear to be a shambles. I've been waiting a month in silence.
Well, I placed the order. I hope I don’t regret it. It seems that the Forza Motorsports wheel alone is the reason for the August availability date. I ordered the bundle, as well as an in-stock wheel. We’ll see what happens.
Does Fanatec typically ship pieces of bundles as they’re available or only the whole bundle once all parts are in stock?

I ordered the CSL Elite f1 edition bundle which had available now
I placed an order too beginning of May for CSL Elite, Fomrula V2 wheel and V3 pedals and pedals stated pre-order 28th May. Then June 4th, then 22nd, now showing June 26th. Will keep my fingers crossed they arrive this week as in your case.....but not holding my breath.

It's hard to have patience when the company who took your money is silent as heck. You're asking us for patience but all they need to do is offer a little communication to their customers who've already shelled out money to them.
It's not our responsibility. This isn't on us to just sit here and be good boys and girls while they stay silent. Most of us probably don't mind delays or waiting. I know my only issue is the complete lack of communication to customers who have already paid them money.
As it is right now, we don't even know if our orders are going to get pushed back again. It'd be cool to know the chances of that happening. If I'm going to have to wait until july or august or something, I'd like to know so I can start figuring out if I want to wait or order from somewhere else.
Patience is one thing but time is money and our time is being wasted without knowing what's going on with our orders.
I guess if you spend 3k, they'll respond to you, but 1k doesn't really matter.

I'm gonna try here because I sent a message via e-mail, facebook, instagram and you guys have no telephone number to be reach.
So I have placed an order (order #1083438) on may 17th and I still didn't revieved any email saying that it's shipped when everything is supposedly in stock (except for the F1 game). I'm just wondering if you guys shipped my order or is it held back because of the game is not out yet (if that's the reason I don't need that game!!!).
Any kind of update after 8 days of placing the order would be appreciated.

I ended up cancelling my order for the Forza bundle. I then placed a different order for the same setup but with a different wheel that shows early June availability. Fingers crossed.

That's absolutely not the case Sean, every order has the same level of priority. If you have a question, please send me a private message.
The game should not be causing the delay. We are shipping orders that include the game every day, and the game code will appear on your account when it releases.
There should be a cancel option in the Orders section of your account. It depends how far into processing it is.

Yes that is possible. Tracking emails can be delayed, particularly during this time where shipping services are dealing with higher demands and restrictions. Tracking information relies on our delivery partners to synchronise their information, so this email is not directly under our control.

I’m happy to see a Fanatec rep communicating with customers. That’s excellent, and an indication that good things will come. I hope that my aversion to Fanatec was unfounded, and I’ll be ecstatic with the product and the service.
