this forum is scaring me away from buying the wheel
After seeing all these problems Im wondering if this is worth the headache ?
I dont even know if this wheel works with Nascar 2003 ( which I play along with Iracing )
But all these problems and poor customer service ? Maybe Thrustmaster is the way to go ?

I was thinking the same thing, I purchased the CSL elite bundle on Friday evening. Today I emailed support essentially saying, "Do you expect any issues with delivery time?" (I paid for overnight shipping) They responded with the following:
Dear Mr XXXX,
the status of your order XXXXXXX placed on 22/05/2020 has changed to “warehouse processing“.
Our warehouse is preparing your order now for shipping. You will receive the tracking number soon in a separate email. Please check also your spam folder.
Please note that no changes to your order are possible at this stage. Please note that due to the COVID-19 situation there might occur delays in the warehouse and shipping process. We apologize for the inconvenience!
We hope you enjoy your new Fanatec product(s).
Kind Regards,
Your Fanatec team
I'm hoping this means there won't be any issues, and so far I haven't had any. I'll let you know when I receive my products, and you can gauge whether or not you want to go forwards.
Which Friday did you order? Are you in the USA or somewhere else?
I am in the US, Tennessee. I ordered Friday the 22nd (about 7:30PM Eastern). I didn't expect any movement on my order until Today. Since I ordered on a Friday evening, then the weekend, and then Memorial day was Monday, so I'm not surprised that there isn't any movement through those days, but I would hope that it would be shipped out today or tomorrow, but like I said I'll keep you updated.
I suppose you ordered the CSL Elite F1 set which is in stock then then. OK. I thought you got the CSL PS4 starter kit so fast and was really confused.
Yeah the items I ordered were currently in stock, and most of the issues that I see through the forums seem to include items that are ordered when they say "Pre order available in stock on ...", but I have only seen one post or so dealing with an issue with an item that was currently in stock.
no desk clamps or shifter clamps . thats BS !
I just received an email from FedEx stating that the shipping label has been created. With an estimated delivery time of Wednesday, so far this is pretty much what I would expect for normal shipping practices (of in stock items). Like I said I'll keep you updated. Hopefully it'll go out into the mail today!
My package has been picked up and is hurtling towards me as we speak. This is exactly the timeline I expected (for overnight shipping). From here on out the Fanatec no longer controls what happens. I will say that my experience has been great and what I expected. Keep in mind that I ordered products that were in stock already and paid for overnight shipping, but it’s been all good!
Glad to hear everything is working out for you! Enjoy your racing!
If you are located in the US, don’t buy anything from Fanatec unless you want to be out hundreds of dollars and no product delivery. Buying from Fanatec has been an absolute nightmare. “Customer Service” keeps telling me they will “send my items today” and they haven’t. This has happened 3 times. Still haven’t gotten my items and no proof that they are actually planning on sending anything to me. Check out accuforce or if you’re on a tight budget, ThrustMaster or Logitech.
I ordered the same thing on the same day except 12hrs prior. Hopefully I hear something but my order status hasn't changed. I'm also one state above you.
CSL Elite PC / PS4 has a table clamp the first version not the inclined. Well at least mine did.
And you made a separate topic for the same. Please don't post the same on other threads too. You made your point.
You are reminding me the guy on the FB page that his sponsorship request didn't go through (he was wondering why when he had only 500 followers) and posted on each and every topic.
It is getting a bit a bit frustrating for the other users to read the same irrelevant comments on other topics as well.
Amanda it is your choice to take your business elsewhere. But since Fanatec is so full that don't have time to deal with all the increased orders etc, why don't you buy the product from the official re-sellers of Fanatec that might have stock?
I don’t believe there is official resellers in the US.
I'm in the US, and I got my CS 1.5 Shifter, DD1, Formula V2, and Porsche 911 rim all without issue. Had a few questions and support has been responsive within 48 hours, even during the pandemic. Honestly Fanatec has been great for me through all this.
My only gripe is that IMO they need to completely rethink their software/firmware strategy, at least for the DD1. It has amazing potential, but the way the beta firmwares are being managed in the forums, and that there is a bespoke firmware/driver for every component (6 total on the Porsche Podium wheel if you include the base driver and Fanalab), is arguably sloppy. I know they're trying and IMO we should all be patient, but I hope this isn't the long-term strategy.
