Porsche 911 GT3 R + CSL Elite Base

So, I foolishly bought the 911 GT3 R without checking compatibility first.
Can anyone tell me what the current functionality is with the latest drivers? Does anything on the P BME work? e.g. the LEDs? The PBME boots but does nothing after that. I can’t even access the setup menu...
Is there an ETA for a driver for the CSL Elite or the Clubsport v2.5 bases to allow full compatibility??
Thanks.

Nothing is working, no Buttons, no Display, no LEDs, no Tuning Menu.
There is no ETA yet, first is CSW V2.5 soon, other bases to follow after.
Ok thanks.
I heard there was an unofficial (Alpha) driver for the CSW V2.5. Is this true?
Yes, you can contact the owner of that forum post for it if you have a CSW 2.5. But not for the CSL Elite yet.
However, Marcel is not the owner of this forum... ;)
Which post? Do you have a link? Thanks.
No specific post.
You need to contact Marcel Pfister here via PM to get an early internal beta firmware for the CSW v2.5 which makes the BME partially compatible.
I meant the beta driver forums. Sorry for the confusion.
Ok, thanks guys.
Well, I contacted this guy the other day but I’ve heard nothing back. Is he a Fanatec employee??
I have to say that the lack of support is staggeringly poor for
a) A premium brand
b) The cost of the equipment
c) The fact that I’m willing to spend (another) 650 EUR on a CSW V2.5 to make a wheel work that currently doesn’t.
I might just return the 911 rim and get my money back.
You contacted him on a weekend and expect an immediate response...?!
It was always communicated that support is actually only for DD Bases.
If you bought it as a CSW owner, it's your fault in the first place and not a lack of support.
Not on a weekend, but on a weekday I would, yes. Especially after spending 2k EUR on flakey hardware held together with what looks like constant beta drivers, yes.
It’s not just this occasion. Many messages to Fanatec have gone unanswered.
Maybe I’ll return the lot. 14 days...
The support is actually very busy and takes up to 14 days to respond as explained by the CEO a few weeks ago already.
This CSW firmware being sent by PM is a kind offer from Marcel, nothing he has to do. He has lots of other things to do and was on vacation last week so very likely has tons of mails and pms to work through today.
If you are impatient, then yes you should return your gear.
Thanks.
I’ll weigh up my options and wait to hear from Marcel before ordering any further hardware.
