Universal Hub top buttons not working on PS4

Hello, I've purchased the CSL base for PS4 and the universal hub. I've purchased a separate wheel to be mounted onto it. Being that this is a classic wheel for classic cars, I've removed all the extra side buttons and paddle shifters assuming I would be able to just use the top buttons but I'm finding they're not working. Currently playing Project Cars 2. Are there specific tricks to get this working?
Thanks in advance!

I think you want be able to avoid at least having the funky switch on the wheel, in order to assign it as a controller.
Edit: what drivers are you using?
I want to avoid the funky switch or keep it on to assign it as a controller?
Admittedly I don't know. I wasn't aware of being able to have different drivers on the PS4. I'm very new to rigs like this. I only had a logitech wheel for a brief period.
Not different drivers on the PS4, Alexandros means which driver have you installed on your PC and which Firmwares are on your wheelbase?
I'm not using this for PC. Or are you saying I have to use my PC to install firmware onto the wheel base in order to use it effectively on the PS4?
Yes, it's better to check which firmwares are pre installed on your stuff. If you aren't on the latest you might want to install one of the later drivers and flash newer firmwares on your base etc.
I'd recommend v347. v365 won't work with your Univeral Hub.
Sweet! I'll check. It's much appreciated!
Or even better, use the all new driver 372 :)
