Porsche 911 GT3 R Seude
Hi everyone,
I’m experiencing issue with my Porsche 911 GT3 R Wheel. I connect it to my Podium DD1 (F1) and not a single button work, I was trying to switch modes, do calibration and etc but it seems like buttons are just dead. Display lights up, i was trying to update firmware but pc doesn’t see wheelbase either. I disassembled and assembled everything back it seems like all is good USB C connected. Anything I’m missing?
thanks in advance!

Can you advise which driver you have? Is it a new wheel with a new podium hub etc?
A screen shot would be very helpful as well from the wheel properties page.
I attached images. It’s a brand new wheel with the brand new podium hub. I can’t access any information regarding drivers because buttons doesn’t work when i plug it in.
Attached images shows as a wheel like it have not had a software update through the PC driver user interface. (it is not not plug and play I think)
This is why asking you the above in order for someone can help / guide you.
I tried updating drivers, but software only showing me the base and not showing wheel, so I can't really update the wheel through PC. I tried that already.
Also should this be on, when wheel is fully attached?
Could you please post a picture showing like the bellow?
I assume that your F1 wheel is working fine.
With the info you are sending is difficult to understand what might be the problem.
Again if for example we assume you are using drivers 356 the following need to be done.
1. Install driver 356
2. Install all firmware versions the driver prompts with a message.
This is most likely in this order: Base Firmware, Motor Firmware, PHUB firmware, BME Firmware.
You need to open the driver UI multiple times until you have all firmware versions updated.
Make sure your Podium Hub is on version 2, if it's not, disconnect the BME and flash the PHUB firmware.
NOTE: It's normal that the fan spins at 100% after the base update, proceed with the motor firmware update and the fan will be back to normal speed.
3. calibration if not done already:
Go to the Settings tab of the driver interface
- Calibrate your center with the "Wheel Center Calibration" button
- Remove the wheel and click on "Motor Sensor calibration", attach the wheel after the process in done.
- If you have a H-Shifter attached, use the "H-Shifter Calibration" button
4. Go to the folder "2. FanaLab_v1-24_beta" and start the "FanaLab_v1-24_beta.msi" to install FanaLab.
5. After the update, close FanaLab.
6. Open the "Enable_ITM.reg" file in the "4. FanaLab_v1-24_beta" folder and accept the messages with yes.
7. Open FanaLab and use the button combinations mentioned in the Quick guide to switch through the ITM pages on the displays (for PC users only).
Trouble Shooting:
- If the gamecontroller interface doesn't show your base:
1. Restart the base and PC and try a differen USB port.
2. Start the driver installer again and use the repair function.
4. If that didn't help try a different USB port.
4. If that didn't help, try to delete the device driver through the device manager manually and if needed use the repair function again.
- Remember if you have a Xbox compatible wheel attached the base will go into Xbox mode after the base update. Either use the button combination to get back to PC mode or remove the wheel and it will go automatically into PC mode. You can attach it again after that.
- FanaLab and the driver should be installed on the "C:" drive for best compatibility.
Well, we have the reason why its not working.
OP confirmed at Reddit he is using the 1,5 year old driver 335 which is not compatible with the P Hub and the BME.
OP needs to update to driver 373, then his issue will be fixed.
Thought so. 🙃
This is why I was asking him which drivers he was using.
Once again you are 2 steps ahead my friend. One day I will catch up. 🛴🏁
Where is the best place to get latest drivers?
Ill dedicate evening tomorrow trying this, thanks for the advice

It's no wonder people get confused - product page downloads still include v356 and Fanalab 1.24
Installation of driver 356 solved the issue thank you very much for your help. Weird that you have to search for this drive on forums and that fanatec doesn't list this drive under downloads. Initially I went and downloaded drivers listed on the website and spent tons of time researching the problem. Thanks again for your help.
First thing I did when I got the wheel is I went and downloaded latest driver, I don't believe 356 was there several days ago, because installing this driver solved my issue. (unless I mixed things up and thought I had latest driver, but I'm pretty sure I had latest verstion) Thanks anyway for your help!
Now I'm thinking if I should update to 373, last time it didn't worked
Good day,
Glad you wheel is working now.
This is one of the reasons I kept insisting on asking you to take a picture of the drivers page cause you were just saying you have the recent ones. Apparently you didn't. 😇
356 are in the website at least since March when I downloaded them when I bought my Porsche Podium wheel.
They were and till today are located in the page of the steering wheel you have bought under the download section. :)
