question this v381 and a beta version? or and an official driver? I am using a v346 and I have no problem who guarantees me that I will not have problems with the v381?
hey maurice any chance you could help me out with my PBME issue it got bricked after the 381 update failed. cant get it to respond or show up on the driver software i have tried multiple versions.
I believe he has mentioned that he prefers not having the motor calibrated so it's not necessary to run the motor calibration. You can erase the calibration just in case.
good evening, I installed driver 381 on my fanatec csw 2.5 everything seems to work for now the only thing I noticed in the settings tab seems to be missing some settings I attach image
I updated from 380 to 381 and I am having MAJOR issues. For anyone else doing this upgrade- BE CAREFUL!
Wheel base: DD2
Steering Wheel: Porsche Podium with BME
Driver 381
See other details in the screenshots.
I cannot change any options on the tuning menu anymore - see screenshot attached. If i update via the BME or Fanalab, the Game Controllers screen freezees up.
On the function test tab, everything is incredibly slow to update. For example when i turn the wheel, the updates are sporadic, same if I press any buttons on the BME.
V380 works FANTASTIC. what happened with this version? How can i go back?!!?
Your WQR Firmware shows as 0 instead of either 5 or 6. This is most likely your issue and leds to a connection Problem of some kind between base and motor and I fear is hardware related and needs to be repaired..
No buttons are missing. The "missing" buttons would be Motor Sensor Calibration and Erase Motor Calibration. Both are only available for Podium DD Bases and were never available for the CSW you have.
Replaced 373 driver with 381 without any problem and fanalab 1.47 with 1.53 (on fanalab I don't use ITM )
dd1, V2 wheel, 918 rsr, v3 pedals, shifter, hand brake
Not a single problem/glitch ntill now when playing AC, ACC, AMS 2, Forza H. One thing I will like to see in the future and option to turn the wheel leds on and off. Sure they are cool and a welcome helping edition but when you chill and just drive at night they are very bright.
I've just updated my CSW2.5 to 381 and now it isn't detected anymore in windows. I've tried reinstalling but no dice. The weird part is that my pedals and wheel base aren't recognized. I would've expected that atleast the pedals would've still been detected. I've looked through the forums but couldn't find a solution..
Did anyone else run in to this problem?
Edit: with detected i mean i don't see any fanatec products in the fanatec wheel property page

381 is now an official stable driver which you can find on any webshop page.

Hi ! I just downloaded and updated to 381 from this page (1).
I just saw that it is on the official page.
would I have to download it again? or the beta and the official is the same? Greetings
Error: Connect device failed(Error: UartPeripheral() cannot open PC UART port(COM4), speed(19200 Hz).).
This is now the message i get?? any help?
GOT IT
Oh, so they're not "goons" anymore?

It's the same.
@Austen Chen
Thx for your answer.
I read Maurice's recommendation not to calibrate the motor and i didn't do that either.
I just wanted to know whether or not to click on "Erase Motor Calibration" after a motor update?

i have the CSUH, it's always been like that nothing missing at all....I also have CSWB v2.5 Driver v381 is the best ever :)
@Nicola Aiello
I also miss the vibration-check from the Pedals. In the new driver there are no buttons, where you can check the Vibration.
Sorry for my bad english.
CSWB 2,5

What I have seen: normally updating takes 10 or 20 seconds, with 381 it tools more than a minute.
I think, my heart stops and lacks some beats now.

Pretty sure if the attached steering wheel doesn't require firmware (ie Porsche 918) then those buttons won't show.
Nope but nothing bad will happen if you click on it :)

Maurice,
The hardware was working perfectly fine right before this update. Are you staying the new driver broke the hardware???
Ok, Grazie
Thanks for your quick reply, i think for now i will stick to driver version 346 they look good to me
Maurice, what are my next options here?? Are you saying that the latest driver bricked my DD2?? IT WAS WORKING FINE JUST MINUTES AGO!

I don't know if is to soon but finally:)
Good work guys
Many thanks @Austen Chen
Please try to update your WQR fw if possible.
I don't just miss the Check, also the Vibration in the Pedals doesn't work. (Raceroom)
