Ups brokerage issue in uk
Hi guys, ordered csl elite PS4 kit with lc last week, waiting patiently howling for updates on the ups site, until this morning when I received an email from ups asking for all sorts of extra import information that I have no idea how to get?
I need fanatecs
:customs procedure
:commodity code
:eori number
: deferment approval number
how do I get this information?
ups have stated that after 3 days I will be charged £13 per package (3 packages) per day?!

Wow, this situation is unbelievable!
Do not expect a response from Fanatec, ive been waiting 5 days now and had nothing from them.
This is starting to look increasingly like Fanatec haven't quite got the hang of completing the new export paperwork correctly yet. Hopefully a Fanatec official will reply to this thread soon and correct me.
Yes agree 100%. Just sucks because I can’t see anyone else having an issue that major as the one i have!
I've just been through the same procedure. Reply to the email saying you are importing for personal use, Commodity code is 9504500000. When it comes to EORI number this is where UPS dont understand the rules. An EORI number is used by customs to easily identify a business or a sole trader when regularly importing. It should not be required for a personal purchase. UPS insisted on one and would not progress without it. You can actually register for one via HMRC.
Heres the link: https://www.tax.service.gov.uk/customs/register-for-cds/isle-of-man?_ga=2.43161894.2057351939.1604910536-1581199000.1601537027
Ironically after i sent all of this through they have held my package for over three days due to "Brexit related delays" To add insult to injury all of the required info, commodity code/reason for import is listed on the shipping paperwork. I've basically paid 11.50 UPS brokerage charge for doing their job and finding this info (from the document they sent me).
The above is a great post. Maybe a sticky could be made with all this info as it would really help customers and the community because Fanatec do not respond at all. Disgusting service for such a high priced item.
Cheers for that mate, I have filled that info and sent it off, hopefully that will do it!
No problem, glad I could help!
If UPS accept all the info the tracking should update to say "Your package was released by the clearing agent". I then got 3 emails about 6 hours later asking me to pay the VAT and the unearned clearing charge. Despite getting the email 3 times i only paid the one and it updated all packages in the shipment. I'm guessing one package is the csl elite wheelbase, another the pedal set and finally the Load Cell kit.
You got the exact kit as me coming, how much was all the customs charges in the end?
£126.48 all in
Damn, but oh well! Thanks!
Did you even understand what m20pcd wrote? 🤦🏼♂️
don't bother Alex, Matt's just mad now. He doesn't understand that UPS made the mistake, not Fanatec. Haters gonna hate now.
Thought you were on about me for a second, my names also Matt :)
nah you are the good one here don't worry, you helped others :D
I understand perfectly thank you. I'm not a Fanatec hater at all and my statement stands.
I fully understand UPS have made a mistake not Fanatec. However I have contacted Fanatec to ask them questions and I have had no response at all after 6 days.
If that's good service to you then fine but don't expect everyone to feel the same.
Also dont be so condescending when I was actually asking to put something up there that would help future Fanatec customers.
Your beloved Fanatec did not make the initial mistake. Six days of incommunicado is my issue when I've spent what I have.
and Im not a Fanatec lover.
And yes you and others made the lack and delay of communication clear by now, and this needs to be improved.
Did Fantec sell the kit without VAT/MWST??
With my UK address, the D VAT, 16%, is knocked off. Eg DD1 V2 APM bundle is €1650. Less 16% is €1386. Then shipping, UK duty and VAT to be added. And of course UK VAT is 20% so more to pay because of BREXIT!!
Although the DE MWST went back up to 19% 1/1/21, so Fanatec seem to be still applying the 16% and haven't adjusted to 19%.
Anyway, well done the Brexiteers. Hope they enjoy getting hit in the pocket.
Fanatec simply didn't change the prices while Germany had a reduction of the VAT to 16%, which actually meant a price increase of the products while this VAT reduction was valid.
They changed it back to 19% see also other Topic.
You are calculating discount not VAT. 19% of 1386 euro is 263 euro which in total is 1650. With 16% VAT the price without VAT would have been 1422 euro.
