Hello, this is my first post so if i say something wrongor i miss something out, i do apologise.
I'm having an issue with the REV lights on my Fanatec Podium F1 Racing Wheel, as shown in the photo below i have the default values for the rev values and have only changed the Colour.
However when i launch the game and go to drive the car, my Rev colours do not match with the footage i will post below and appear to change rapidly with the Colour scheme that i have selected above.
You need to disable the in game Fanatec LED option in the games settings as described in the instructions when you click on "Enable Telemetry" and "Enable Fanalab"
i'm using Fanalb V1.54.4 and everytime i go to the Game after around a Minute on Track Fanalab crashes. It happens on ACC and also on F1 2020. My Tuning Menu Setings and everything are ok but my Rev Lights on the Base Light all Up and stay always fully on. The Revlights on my Wheel are Still working.
I tried Reinstalling Fanalab and also Reinstalling the v400 Driver Package. It doesnt seem to Work.
Anyone an Idea what causes the Crash of Fanalab? I attached the Collected Logs.
I dont know how "reassuring" this could be for me, but it seems that at least a few people have exactly the same problem with fanalab, in various games, including iRacing, ACC, F1 2020. So i think it is a problem indeed, not an isolated incompatibility case.
Maybe there are others aswell who did not write on the forum, or maybe there are quite a lot of people - fanatec gear owners - that are simply not using fanalab.
Lets hope that the devs will find a fix soon, and until that time i personally stopped twisting my nerves with fanalab and started using the basic settings from Fanatec Wheel Property page. No wheel vibrations, no custom leds, but at least it is working! Cheers !
I like the Feature of the Different Profiles for every Game and getting them loaded automatically. I first thought it has something to do with ACC Engineer what also uses Telemetry but even without it crashes.
I now copied my Settings to the Basic Driver on the diffent Tuning Menu Profiles and use the Native Support of the Game and stop using Fanalab until there is a Fix.
Please, as said multiple times in the last comments, also provide the Windows Event Logs - The Windows Event Logs are MUCH more important than the FanaLab Logs.
Hello friends with issues with the formula V2 leds. I may have a fix.....when reading through my event logger I noticed my bitdefender anti malware initialize. I went into my bit defender settings and added fanalab.exe with its complete file path as an exception....maybe a bad idea, but after i was able to run multiple consecutive laps with no issues in F1 2020 and PC 2. flags and rev leds functioning perfectly now.
Hope this helps. Again, Fanatec team, thank you for putting up with us whiny gamers.
I installed the latest version of fanalab 1.54.5 and checked at the product page at downloads for the latest drivers for my CSL elite+ playstation compatible and clubsport pedals v3. Sadly fanalab still crashes while using it. I would love to use the vibration motor function of the pedals and rev lights on my wheelbase. But right now it is not possible. as you explained i also enabled telementry +led lights in either acc and ac.
I hope you can resolve this issue so the vibrationpedal and rev lights will work again soon. If you need any more information do not hesitate to ask me! Have a nice day.
Another helpful Information would be the DxDiag file of affected Systems to see which devices and drivers are used (not only Fanatec) to see a pattern.
Tried it both with fanalab at startup and just before race, it still crashed.
Interestingly, after i have added an exception to BITDEFENDER (as instructed a few posts before) it seemed to be working, already did two races without a single problem, so that might also be a clue !
In the meantime i am also attaching my dxdiag report, hopefully it helps
Just a small update, after i added a BITDEFENDER exception i mangaged to get into 4 races without any crash ! I start to strongly belive that it might be related to bitdefender

What Nicholas Hitchcock described above is exactly the problem I am having within ACC.

I have the latest driver and fanalab versions installed and am not sure if this is a software issue or something wrong with my wheel.
Equipment:
Fanatec DD1 Wheel Base and Podium F1 Racing Wheel (Bundle)
CSL Elite Pedals non-LC

Thanks.
I added the Report of the Last 7 Days. I looked at it and it started some Days ago with the Crashes.

happy driving,

Hi,
Fanalab crashed for me also in ACC and Race Room. Windows logs are attached. Fanalab Version 1.54.4 and 5, same issue.
Many thanks,
Thomas
coincidence or not ... i am using bitdefender indeed ! will give it a try
Seems we get a pattern here.
Everyone who provided logs has KERNELBASE.dll error which leads to FanaLab crash combined with a .NET Runtime error System.OutOfMemoryException.
Pretty sure this information will help the developer a lot to fix this issue once and for all.
In the meantime you could downgrade to 1.54.2 again which is the last version known to not crash.
Hi Maurice,
many thanks for your feedback!
Regards, Thomas
@Maurice Böschen
Could you link the download for version 1.54.2 version again? I can't find the link to this version. Maybe on the first page?
Many thanks.
Another helpful Information would be the DxDiag file of affected Systems to see which devices and drivers are used (not only Fanatec) to see a pattern.
My DxDiag file is attached!
Just a question to the guys with the Crashing problem:
Do you have Fanalab in Autostart?
Or do you start Fanalab by Hand just before you start your Simulation?
Tried it both with fanalab at startup and just before race, it still crashed.
Interestingly, after i have added an exception to BITDEFENDER (as instructed a few posts before) it seemed to be working, already did two races without a single problem, so that might also be a clue !
In the meantime i am also attaching my dxdiag report, hopefully it helps
Yes, its on Autostart for me!
Crazy, I also use Bitdefender. But I have not yet added Fanalab to the exceptions.
Is a good idea.
Still, I'd like to test version 1.54.2, but it's no longer linked, or I can't find the download.
Has the version possibly still someone and can upload it?
Yes, it crashes in the middle of a normal race. Fanalab crashlog is attached to the original post.
I start my Fanalab with a batch file after computer starts.
yes I've forwarded this and it will be fixed in on of the future updates but it should be understandable that he works on crashes first.
Os dejo el 1.54.2 para el que no lo encuentre
Just a small update, after i added a BITDEFENDER exception i mangaged to get into 4 races without any crash ! I start to strongly belive that it might be related to bitdefender
Where do you have to make this Exception? I allowed FanaLab on Ransomware Remedation and Advanced Threat Defense and still crashes
A mi tampoco se me ha vuelto a bloquear desde que cree una excepción en el BITDEFENDER para Fanalab
I have not been blocked again since I created an exception in the BITDEFENDER for Fanalab
Esta en la pestaña de Protección , luego vas a Antivirus le das a abrir y vas a configuracion
Alli te sale administrar excepciones
It is in the Protection tab, then you go to Antivirus you give it to open and you go to settings
There you can manage exceptions
Fanalabs keeps randomly closing?
Try 1.54.5. Page 9, third post.
