Loss of FFB in corners csl elite
I believe that there is a weird issue with my csl elite. The FFB is totally normal on every single aspect, except for the corners. It seems like when i turn into a corner, the ffb is just gone and there is no resistance, and after that it just returns to normal. I tried firmware updates and messing around with ffb settings but with no result. This issue appears on every single game I have tried. Does anyone know how to solve this?

What game(s) are you playing? Sounds like an “Enhanced Oversteer” feature is turned on somewhere in the game settings. It is simulating the loss of grip in a turn. So basically you have just been pushing the car too hard in the corners and sliding the front tires. When they regain grip is when you feel the resistance again.
Something else I just thought of. You might want to double check the degrees of rotation you have set on your wheelbase versus what is in the game for the cars. I know one time I had a very small degrees of rotation on the wheel base and the soft lock you can actually push through and once you do you kind of don’t feel anything.
Mostly F1 2020, Assetto Corsa on PC and Forza Horizon 4. I have this issue on all of those games. I always have sensitivity on automatic.
Understood, I play F1 2020 as well as Assetto Corsa, albeit on PS4. Both games have and Enhance Understeer option in the settings. I suggest to turn it OFF. I personally like it but, test and try for yourself. As for he Sensitivity, I have mine on 360 for F1 as per Fanatec recommendation. In my experience it seems to work better than automatic. Once again, that is just me and it is on the PS4, not sure if that would make it behave differently. If I may ask what wheelbase settings are you running at for each game?
I have turned my wheel to 360 degrees and I always have the understeer enhance off, still no difference. I recently upgraded to firmware v402 but that didnt help.
I would have stayed away from Driver 402 at the moment of you have a CSL ELITE. There are some issues with the wheel sensitivity settings matching what is happening in game. How old is your wheelbase, how much usage has it seen, and what are the settings that you use when you play? Just trying to gather information to try to help.
Sorry that I have been gone for a while. My wheelbase is about 8 months old and I mostly use the recommended wheel and ffb settings for each game by Fanatec.
Is there a way to downgrade to an older firmware version?
Check the last section in this manual.
I reverted to v373, but with no results.
It still sounds to me like it’s simulating the tires slipping during understeer, since you had said it worked perfect in all other ways except for turn in on corners. But, probably best at this point to see what Fanatec support has to say. I would open a ticket with them for help.
Will do, thanks for trying to help!
Did you find the problem?
I am having the same problem as well.
I have all the FFB, but when in the corners I feel the the resistance is constant and I do not know what is going on in the car actually.
