How do I calibrate my shifter, without having a display on my wheel? The base says I should use the display on my wheel.

Yes, correct you can not calibrate the shifter through the wheelbase alone without a Wheel that has a Tuning Button. Otherwise, you will have to calibrate through the PC Driver.
