The CSL Universal Hub

Does this work on my CSL Elite Xbox Wheel? It stated on all wheels but I want to be sure before ordering.
or perhaps go for the CSL Elite Steering Wheel WRC. That one is nearly the same as my CSL Elite Xbox wheel but I can add a quick release to it, which is not possible with my wheel. I also have a F1 v2 wheel and don’t want to constant screw my wheel on and of when switching wheels.

every wheel works with every base. The QR doesn't need to be changed at all and is fully compatible with your base.
Question would be if you want to play on XBOX or PC, because the CSL Hub isn't XBOX compatible, while the WRC wheel is.
Thanks. I play on PC. But I need to change the wheel with an QR system because if not I could keep my CSL elite wheel. I just don’t want to screw it on and of the base when I want to use my 2nd wheel. The F1 v2.
with the QR system it is much easier to swap wheels. 😁
the CSL Hub doesn't require a screw at all with the new simplified QR.
Ah ok, that makes sense. Thanks, 😀
When You write about wheel, maby You mean wheel base?
P1 is wheel what you´re talking about.
Sure You understand that hub needs also rim 😉
In the store they talk about a wheel when they show a Rim. That is why I called it a wheel.
I do have a CSW v2.5 wheel base (for more than 3 years by now) and to complete it, I have a standard CSL Elite p1 for Xbox steering wheel or Rim and a F1 steering wheel/Rim the ClubSport Steering Wheel Formula Carbon to be precise.
the CSL Elite P1 does not have an QR system so I want to buy a new Steering wheel/Rim. Or the CSL Universal Hub to use with the CSL Elite P1 steering wheel. This because I want to be able to swap steering wheels when needed (depends on the car of course) without using an Alan key. 😁
you cannot use the P1 wheel, which is a complete steering wheel on its own, on the CSL Hub. For the CSL Hub you need a simple rim.
The Fanatec webstore uses weird terminology - they call wheel bases racing wheels. Seems weird to me that they use these terms interchangeably - for me using steering wheel and racing wheel interchangeably would make more sense - i.e. a steering wheel with specific race functions. Presumably it's due to translation - my schoolboy Deutsche ist nicht gut genug zu wissen.
that is what I asked in the first post indeed. 😀 Then the information on the site is not correct as it stated, you can use it on any Fanatec wheel/Rim.
“Threaded holes for wheel rims with a 3 x 50 mm or 6 x 70 mm pattern means that all current Fanatec wheel rims can be attached to the CSL Universal Hub.”
as far as I can see, I can remove the wheel from its “ base” and I do not mean the CSW v2.5 wheel base but the base from the P1 wheel itself. I only will be left with some holes in the rim where the buttons used to be.
I’ll will buy the CSL Elite Steering Wheel WRC, I just noticed the screws are in a different position then on the CSL hub, so that is not gonna fit at all indeed.
Being that the P1 Wheel does not attach to a hub, as it is a model designed to not need it, it is not considered a wheel with threaded hole pattern for mounting. So the information is correct, also the P1 Wheel is not a “current” wheel on the website. As far as taking the wheel apart and mounting it anyway, yea it is probably possible, but I would think the wheel would not be very sturdy. The metal is not as thick as a stand alone rim.
You have P1 and now you´re going to buy almost exactly same wheel 🤔
I would buy CSL Hub and somekind of flat rim for that, you can find cheap ones (~50eur) from internet.
6 x 70mm is most common fastening, diameters are from 300mm-->350mm
edit:
Like this one, actually there´s picture with CSL Hub at wheel reviews:

Yeah, as said, I’m tired of using an Alankey. So if I can switch to the same but with an QR system then that is ok for me. I’ll take a look at your suggestions. Thanks.
When will you do a combo whith CSL Universal Hub and rims ???
