Older wheels (QR1) and CSL DD
Hi, I have ordered a CSL DD and I have three wheels that I use with the Clubsport 2.5. McLaren V2, Clubsport Formula V2, Clubsport universal hub.
Are these wheels going to work on the CSL DD as is?
Is the CSL DD going to accept the older and newer wheels at the same time?
Will it be feasible to upgrade the older wheels (above-mentioned) for a QR2?
If I understand properly, it will come with the regular QR shaft but in the future, you can upgrade it to accept the new QR2.

Yes to all.
Yes to most - but not all. Your Clubsport Universal Hub cannot be upgraded to QR2.
Ah true, misread that sorry.
But it's compatible with CSL DD out of box.
Good to know, thanks to both of you
I am new to this so forgive the stupid questions.
What's the benefit of upgrading from QR1 to QR2? And it's always described and "exchangeable".
I've ordered the V2.5 wheel and eagerly awaiting the second I can order a CSL DD PS. I keep grazing past the McLaren V2 but I'm unsure I'll need both wheels. I'd prefer a round wheel if I'm buying a second anyway. I'm just wondering what the benefit might be to spending an extra (estimated) $100 per wheel to exchange my QR1s with QR2s. It MIGHT be worth it on the McLaren because you're going from plastic to aluminum but I can't see it on the Formula V2.5.
Don’t quote me on this, but I THINK the new QR2 shape will be slightly different. Meaning the actual male/female connection part. Maybe it is inherently stronger than relying on the ball bearings and the notch for grip/locking. Maybe it will help cut down on wiggle/play in the connection and help to stop from pins breaking in the QR. This is completely speculation on my part, I have not had any of these issues with my gear. Those issues are very well known of though.
I meant to include this picture with my previous post for reference. It still could not be a correct photo.
