Mclaren wheel V2 suddenly asks: Caution please update the firmware!

I was driving in iracing and suddenly my wheel gave this on it's screen: Caution please update the firmware! It stopped also with working. So I went to the Fanatec updater and tried to update my wheel but nothing happens. It starts the update and when it's ready it's starting again. It keeps on updating in a loop. I tried everything: reinstalling drivers, reinstalling steering wheel on the base, other usb ports, turning everything on and of. The updater states that the wheel firmware is 0 which is weird, it was since the latest update on 40 so why could this be suddenly 0? Is there any other way to fix this?

This sounds like a problem with the connection between the steering wheel and the base.
Try removing the steering wheel and putting it back on.
I tried this and sadly enough it didn't work. The first 30 minutes it worked again but after that i had the same issue. Support told me to send it back.
I have this issue with the f1 2021 limited edition did u find a solution?
I have the same issue, and have an open case with Fanatec Support.
They advised me re-flash all the latest firmware for base, motor and wheel. And also asked me to tighten these screws:
It helped for a few hours but now its back to same issue. Sometimes it doesn't even get detected when you power on the base (I have CSL PS4)
Hopefully I can get a replacement.
Any update on this? My Clubsport Formula v2 f1 2021 also does this and doesn't work. Connected to CSL DD on driver version 411.
Same wheel same error, nothing help
