Will QR1 rims work on new QR2 bases? I don't know the mechanism for QR2 so curious if my older rims can still be used once i have a QR2 base?
Comments
No.
QR2 wheels only work on QR2 Bases and QR1 wheels only work on QR1 bases.
Only the DD Bases can be upgraded to QR2 Base side as the Belt Drive Bases dont have an exchangeable QR.
okay thanks.
Anyone want to buy my universal hub?
Can i buy the Lite QR by itself? I cant find it on the webshop and like it better that the metal QR if i buy a Podium hub??
No that's not possible.
That sucks :( Will that LQR become available ever?
How about remove the coloured button caps on the CSL Hub?
Also, if i get the Podium Hub how can i use the tuning menu on my CSWv2?
Last question, Is the podium Hub or CSL Hub going to support the QR2?
You cant... You would need a different wheel to access the Tuning Menu and make adjustments.
Fanalab doesnt support the CSWv2 either does it?
I thought i read somewhere that turning the Podium hub 90 degress and doing something opened the tuning menu or something??
Does the CSL Hub and Podium support the QR2 when it arrives?
Turning the wheel 90 degrees accepts the Torque Warning Message. That's it.
Neither the Driver nor Fanalab support Tuning Menu on a CSW v2, no.
CSL Hub Supports the QR2 as it has an exchangeable QR, yes.
I was hoping to finally get news about the QR2 system. After all, it was officially said that the BMW GT4 and the new QR2 system will be presented in Q2. We are already in Q3. 😥
Thanks mate.
I may just grab the CSL hub then and remove the paddle shifters.
Can the coloured button caps be removed to make them black?
I don’t think you can remove the paddle shifters on the CSL Hub. I’m not 100% sure on the buttons, they may not be caps. Check out this video. Pretty good disassembly and breakdown.

Can the coloured button caps be removed to make them black?
The big red buttons are just button caps and you can remove them.
Orange, yellow, green and blue are interchangeable buttons. They are not included in the set with CSL Universal Hub.
The ones I used and you see in the picture are from the WRC steering wheel.
Thanks, i know i cant just remove them but if i open it i can, i wont use them and they will just get in my way.
That's good to know. Does the white number, arrow or symbol come off easily? I want plain black. Now to find out if i can buy the caps separately?? Its silly they are not included if they are the same caps as the WRC rim!?!?
Can i buy the button caps from the WRC rim separately? They are list on the WRC page as "Racing Style button caps".
I'm getting close to my solution, lol if these caps can be purchased it looks like the CSL Hub will be it for me.
