Hello. Just noticed the ClubSport Steering Wheel RS. Is this the successor to the Porsche 918? It seems to be identical other than the color, replaceable QR, and magnetic paddles. Thanks!!
Actually it's not possible, but it's possible anyway: the clubsport magnetic shifters have the "new" connector that is not compatible with your old 918 wheel: if you use this adapter it will be compatible
It is effectively the successor to the 918, but it's not identical. As you say, the colour has changed, the QR is replaceable, and it has magnetic shifters. But also the electronics are revised, the internal structure of the wheel has been improved, the vibration motors have been removed, and the overall shape of the rim has been optimised for better comfort.
Use allen keys. I did it on my 918rsr and my bmw gt2 v1 (with 3rd party paddles, years before the clubsport paddles were launched). I used the same paddles than this guy (and had the same issue with too lon screws, as nSH is not a serious company). If you were near me in france I would gladly do it for a beer.

Yes
Wonder if it's possible to retrofit the RS magnetic paddles to the 918 wheel.
I don't really use mine since the throws on the shifters are too long for my liking.
No that's not possible

Or you can cut/solder the connectors from the original paddles on the new ones.
Personnally, I changed the paddles years ago (the clubsport magnetics did not exist at the time so I found alternative ones) and I never regretted it.

tough luck trying it only with these adapters... how do you plan to mount the MPMs after you bought these?
""...the vibration motors have been removed."
Were they also removed from the BMW GT2 v2?
Yes
