Am I correct in thinking that connecting through USB will give you more steps of resolution in the detected pedal position/ pressure data? Or was this only true of the older (pre-V3) Clubsport pedals?
Thats a myth which for some reason still many people believe. It was the case with CSP v1 and v2 but it was never the case with CSP v3 since 7 years now.. So no, resolution is the same no matter how you connect the CSP v3.
Ok, thanks for clarifying, I was pretty sure I saw that somewhere. Seeing how I still am using my trusty yet ancient v1 pedals, that's good to know since I'm in the process of transitioning from xbox to pc.

Doesnt really matter. With connection to the base you get BRF and you save one USB cable/port though so I would always prefer connection to the base.
