Play in Porsche 918 rim quick release

Hi all,
I've got the Porsche 918 rim on my CSW v2 base and it has some play which most of the time is not noticable, but in certain situations becomes very noticable. For example, in iRacing when braking hard enough to trigger ABS on a car with ABS equipped, the small FFB movements cause a fairly large vibration within the play of the wheel that I really hate. It literally sounds like metal vibrating against metal. It's only an issue with these really short back-and-forth movements.
Does anyone have any ideas on anything I can do to fix this?
Thanks!

All you can do is to use the optional Fixation screw which should help.
Otherwise there is nothing you can do, it's the Design of the QR1..
Hi Maurice,
I didn't receive a screw with the base, and where I think the screw would go (about about 300 degrees around the circumference of the quick release where there is a notch) there isn't a hole in the wheel base to screw anything into.
Am I missing something?
The bolt comes with every ClubSport wheel. You should find it in the box somewhere...
If you are not removing your wheel and leaving it on all the time, you could put a little piece of paper where the notch is to stop the noise, if that is all that is bothering you. just a suggestion.

One thing you can try is cleaning and relubing the QR
I use WD40 Specialst Contact Cleaner to clean the electrical pins and old grease.
Then use WD40 Specialist White Lithium Grease to relube the locking balls. Helps to fill the clearance between the hub stub and QR.
Hi Dominic,
I have actually found the hole the bolt is meant to go into (had to pull back the quick release sleeve) but I'm not sure I've got the bolt. Just in case can you tell me what kind it is - is it a standard metric size or something?
No it's a unique shaped bolt that is designed to fit the collar of the quick release. It looks like this:
It is usually in its own clear bag and taped to the inside of the packaging.

Thanks Francois, that's not a bad idea.
Thanks I used to use a WD40 silicone spray to keep the QR slippery and make it easier to remove the wheel, but recently I've just been leaving it connected all the time. My electrical pins are really clean though, I've never got anything on them.
Thanks that's really helpful, I will dig up my packaging and see if I've got it. Thanks!
