New to fanatec, need serious help, please !!
Hey to all and thanks for stopping by , I have a few questions for my DD with formula wheel v2.5 and v3 pedals. Every thing works well and fine tuned everything including fanatec shifter just need help with some minor programming. My LEFs don’t work in F1 2021 and can’t seem to get them to come on, I am on the new xbox as well. For Forza horizon 5 , I can’t remap or make my handbrake seem to work , I have it plugged in to my v3 pedals and even tried plugging it into the handbrake jack on wheel base and still nothing. Anything helps and thank you a bunch !!!

LEDs in F1 2021*
hi ,handbrake is not working in horizon 5 at the moment , will probably come in a hotfix soon
LEDs do not work on Xbox, it's a limitation of the platform. You'll also find that non-standard button inputs such as rotary encoders will not work, nor do the "click" or "rotation" features of the funkystick (can be used as a D-pad only). Two way toggle switches will generally be duplicates of standard inputs eg. Left Trigger, Right Trigger, etc. and can not be reassigned.
This has unfortunately been a limitation of the Xbox platform for years. Microsoft and Fanatec have both largely remained silent on the issue, aside from the occasional rumor that "something is being worked on".
Basically, if you want full functionality of your gear, you either need to buy a PC or be willing to be very, VERY patient.
Thanks so much for your reply and totally understand now, if I switch to pc I can use all functions on all games ? Iracing and fh5 and F1 2021
Functionality on PC still comes down to the individual game, but generally yes, you will have full functionality of your wheel.
For some PC games you'll need Fanalab or enable specific in-game settings to make use of Fanatec leds.
Thanks so much guys I switched over to pc and love it !!! Currently running ACC and could never see myself going back to anything else, super happy with my formula wheel and I could finally use all buttons
Glad to hear it! Happy racing!
