Thank you for the detailed explanation, very useful.
I've tried it and confirm that when BME is mounted to a UH V2 and attached to a CSL DD the rev LEDs don't work. We'll have a closer look why and try to solve it quickly.
I can confirm the LEDs of BME firmware v19 are brighter than v18 which we plan to fix in v20.
I have now returned to 428 drivers + firmware ... The feeling is much better now and the details come clearer by ... At 431 I found the damping very high, especially with ACC 1.8 ... Now the steering wheel is more speedy and agile ... Find the engine and base firmware from 428 much better for the CSL DD ...
You made sure you sued the same settings on the new FW as you use on the old FW now?
Because by default you are forced in the new Auto Setup Mode in the new FW where NDP is hardcoded to 50 which of course feels a lot more dampened compared to old FW where no Auto Setup exists.
I personally cant feel any noticable difference in the FFB between old and new FW.
yes i could update it with driver 429 and it worked. with driver 431 everything was updated except for the wheel, I don't know whether it is just a display error, because in the new driver 431 firmware 41 is displayed for the wheel and in the display of wheel 33 ????
see pictures
shouldn't version 41 also be in the oled display of the mclaren gt3 v2 ???
I'm having a problem updating the firmware on a Clubsport Formula V2 wheel.
I have a DD2, R300 Podium wheel, and a Clubsport Formula V2 wheel.
I've been installing the beta versions as they are released, this is the first time I've had a problem.
I'm able to download and successfully install 431 driver and firmware updates for everything except the Formula v2 wheel.
I am running the following
Wheel Base Firmware 690
Fanatec Wheel Base Motor Firmware 42
Fanatec Steering Wheel Firmware (with V2 wheel connected) 41 (shows in red that an update 43, is available.)
Wireless Quick Release Firmware 6
I've attempted the upgrade a number of times and it fails every time. PC, PC Comp mode, rebooting the DD2 first. The only thing that is different during the update process is; sometimes I feel/hear the wheel vibrating, other times I do not. At times the LCD on the V2 wheel will show that an update is available. Other times it shows a large F. Other times it's is black. Every time the display on the DD2 is black. After a failed update the wheel continues to work in F12020. I uninstalled 429, deleted the folder contents, rebooted, and reinstalled 431. Still fails. I can successfully downgrade to 429 drivers.
I've attached the log files and screenshots of the error messages.
Thanks for the update. What is the difference in DD2/1 Motor firmware 42, vs the previous 41a / test export introduced after 40? I'm curious. 42 seems a slight improvement....
This new combo has been a miss for me. My DD1 has tried to kill me twice now nearly breaking my fingers, once when the DD1 was powering up and going through its cycle, instead of slowing rotating, it went 100% ffb fast and catching my hand, and another time when I paused ACC ffb randomly went to the left at 100% ffb trapping my finger inside the wheel.
Also the detail and overall feeling is not as good as previous beta driver and firmware.

Yes, I have done the same setting in the tuning menu in ACC and same vehicle setup ... The difference is much better and the FFB details sensitive ...

here is my problem
FanatecDiag_27-11-2021_12-37-19.zip
27.97 KB
and it works without any problems.
I have a CSL DD Boost , and am curious to try these Beta drivers but have one question regarding the Tuning menu mode defaults .
Can I still access Advanced mode through the Ui and wheel ? If not then these new drivers are a massive step backwards .
thanks
😀
Yes of course
Thanks Maurice

Okay if not, so a message would be nice. e.g "This action will delete your individual configuration" or something else, you know.
I thought that the only compatible Fanalab version for the 431 Driver, was 1.60.6
Please read the first post again.
Your Fanalab version is outdated and not compatible with the new driver.
Update to 1.60.6 please which is the only compatible version and everything will match.
Correct

No difference
Do you know how it lead up to this, what did you do before?
can you please use this function to collect log files and upload them here
we are working on the solution and should be able to provide a new version quite soon.
For a workaround it might work to set new max/max calibration if the buttons for that are available for you.
which base do you have?
So you are sure you have a McLaren V2 but the driver detects it as a McLaren V1?
please upload the driver log files
where do you get the 33 shown, in the driver UI?
Ah you have it in the wheel display, that's only a cosmetic bug, what gets shown by the driver is correct.
I bought the CSL DD Base and the Mclaren gt3 v2 on 12/30/2020
I think he has two issues:
First is that he cant update from v41 to v43.
Secind is that on boot his McLaren v2 shows ST FW 33 instead of 41.
Does it also crash if the P DD is not plugged in or on?
Is anything else connected?
In case it doesn't crash every time you can use the collect log feature of the UI
Thank you for the log files, they are usually very helpful with finding crashes.
The developers of FH5 are working on a fix which is hopefully available soon.
did it only happen once and is gone now or does it happen again sometimes?
is it reproducible on PC in the driver UI?
were all buttons affected or only some?
