Fanatec firmware updates
I just received my GT DD Pro premium bundle (hurrah!) and am currently just putting it all together onto my rig.
A question which I can’t seem to find an answer to is this: Am I able to update firmware for all components (ie wheel base, wheel, shifter, LC brake, csl pedals etc) by just connecting my pc to the DD wheelbase? Or do I need to connect each component individually to my pc?
Example: Once I install the pedals for example, getting to the USB port on the Load Cell won’t be an quick and easy process.
For what its worth, I’ll be (initially at least) just running on PS5 and Xbox, but can hook up my laptop to the wheel base for any updates etc.

sorry, how did you get the prize if it comes out on March 14th? I placed the order on Jan 4th and it still gives me "order in process"
Maybe he/she is living in US or Canada? I also still waiting for my premium bundle and hope they will ship it on Monday.
@BettyRNorah Daniels, I don't have the wheel yet. But I guess you have just connected everything with the base and just connect the base with your PC or laptop for an update. Other things make no sense. If you have to update each element by itself you always have to unassemble :)
I just checked the website and it's available now. Let me know when yours has been shipped.
where are u from? I'm in Italy..it is still March 14th
I'm from Germany

You will need to connect each peripheral to a PC via USB to update the firmware on them.
Only exception I think is the shifter as it does not have a USB cable for it and only connects to base via rj11 cable.
So you have to dismantle it each time you have to update it?
@Andrea Beccafico my order is now in status progress. So it will be shipped soon.
Short answer is yes.
Good thing is pedals and shifter rarely get firmware updates.
Bases will get firmware updates more frequently.
me too now! (can't wait!!!!!!)
To make firmware updates to the pedals, they have to be connected directly via USB. The steering wheel is updated through the wheelbase. However, if you just want to make adjustments (not update) to the pedals you can connect them through the wheelbase. It’s really annoying to unmount the pedals just to firmwareupdate them! Also… when setting up your rig be sure to connect the rj45 cable from the pedals to the wheelbase BEFORE mounting them onto your rig. I learned that the hard way!
My DD Pro Premium with the load cell is hopefully arriving me next week. Is it better to check for updates before I mount everything or is it up to date? Does anyone know that?
