New recommended FFB settings for GT DD PRO after GT7 Patch 1.15
Todays Game Update 1.15 changed the FFB for the GT DD PRO a LOT.
In general the FFB strength was significantly reduced with the update which you need to compensate with increasing in game Max Torque setting to 10 and increasing FOR setting on the wheel to 120.
Before the update in corners the FFB was basically "dead", it was strong, yes, but you only felt a heavy constant center spring once you went past the slip angle. In corners there was therefore no FFB detail like road bumps, curbs etc.
In some cars on high speeds you also got massive oscillations.
With Patch 1.15 you can now feel all these FFB details and you no longer get the massive oscillations.
Is the new FFB perfect? No. The resistance is still weaker than it was previously and an increase of the FOR setting to 120 should definitely not be necessary to get a somehow good resistance.
So yes, PD needs to increase the overall resistance force now again a bit but I think we can all agree that the overall FFB details in corners are much much better now, when you adjust the settings accordingly.
When I first tried the new update this morning I also thought like "what have they done, it feels bad now" but then I adjusted in game and on wheel settings and now I think GT7 never felt better than with this new FFB update, its such a big improvement!
You can also easily test the old and new FFB back and forth because the new FFB was only implemented into the blue native PS mode. In purple PS compatibility mode the old FFB is still active. I think when testing back and forth it is very obvious that the new FFB is much more detailed in corners so in general PD made a significant improvement here which they just need to refine with a bit more resistance strength again in the next update.
For now, these would be my personal new recommended settings for GT7 Patch 1.15:
SEN: AUTO
FFB: 100
FFS: PEAK
NDP: 50
NFR: 25
NIN: OFF
INT: 3
FEI: 90
FOR: 120
SPR: OFF
DPR: OFF
GT7 in Game Settings:
Force Feedback Max Torque: 10
Force Feedback Sensitivity: 1

Thanks buddy!
Thanks Maurice, much appreciated! 👍🏻
Ciao!
Hi Maurice,
Any recommended settings for the DD1 post update?
Dont have one so no.
Thank you, work great
By comparing the original Fanatec suggested settings for GT DD Pro and DD1 (https://forum.fanatec.com/discussion/25219/gran-turismo-7-ps4-ps5-fanatec-recommended-settings) to Maruice's in this thread, you can hypothesize the same change in values between old (Fanatec) and new (Maurice) for GT DD Pro also may work on the DD1. Here is what I assembled from that data:
SEN: AUTO
FFB: 42
FFS: PEAK
NDP: 53
NFR: 28
NIN: OFF
INT: 2
FEI: 90
FOR: 120
SPR: OFF
DPR: OFF
In-Game Settings:
Controller Settings:
Force Feedback Max. Torque: 10
Force Feedback Sensitivity: 1
I plan to test it later myself, and it may still need further iterations to dial in but hopefully will be a good start.
Works well for me too - as you say better in many ways, still lakcing in some, but overall felt more a bit more real? natural?
Thanks guys, thought it was just me who noticed my wheel was lighter than before, this feels more realistic
How is it the solution to the lessening of the FFB by PD is lowering the FFB on the wheel to 42 from the recommended 100 by Fanatec before the update?
I tried the settings above and my wheel had almost zero feedback.
He's talking about DD1 settings not DD Pro.....(DD1 has 20nm)
I must have missed that. Thank you.
Man this update 1.15 is really garbage for people with high powered wheels and I hope they fix it soon. I literally just got setup and dialled in with my DD1 Podium last week before the change and was loving the feedback. Now its like driving a limp noodle and nearly no force even at max. I'm loading up ACC to give that some of my time while they get this sorted out.
I have the same problem. I miss the massive force feedback
I also have a DD1 and this update has ruined the game for me. I appreciate the settings that have been shared but even with that, GT7 feels sluggish and muted. I guess it’s Assetto Corsa or F1 for now (which surprising feels much better now compared to GT7).
SRT Tomahawk is still not driveable on RouteX with these settings.
The steering wheel oscillates extremely strongly at high speed. Same problem as before the update.
This is really useful. I am using the McLaren GT V2 wheel with my DD pro wheel base where force feedback is already 100 on the wheel. Anyone recommend settings for it? Can’t believe how useless the feeling in the wheel is now! Thanks in advance
Hi Sean,
Have a look at the settings I'm using on the other thread -
I managed to improve my Daily B quali time from my pre update time (now 1:47.20) and also managed a 55.9 in the Manufacturers Free Practice at Sardegna C -
Hope they may help you until PD come up with a 'fix'
Nick
Hi guys.
I just received my GT DD Pro.
Just in time for it to get nerfed by Polyphony.
I dont see how I can change any settings on wheel.
SEN, FFB, and NDP I find, but are all set as LOCKED.
How do I find and change the other settings mentioned above. Thanks for any help!
Hold the tunning button for 3" (if i remember correctly) to get in advanced settings mode and go to setup 1 and adjust. Also check the full manual for info in your product's download section
Any new recommended settings for 1.15 with driver 422 ??
Are the settings from the first post good?
The FFB on a CSL DD and GT DD did not changed at all with the latest driver and firmware, so no changes.
Hey Maurice, with 1.16 out, how are things feeling with just moving Force Feedback Max. Torque back to 5 and everything else the same as your 1.15 settings?
Can only test in 7 hours but according to the Changelog the strength was adjusted back to 1.13 for every car except the 3 cars listed in that Changelog which caused the most excessive oscillations. This would mean the FFB strength in game should be reduced to 5 or 6 again. This however would also most likely mean they broke the FFB now again in the way that you feel nothing other than a heavy constant spring force in High speed corners anymore.
Thanks for the quick response. I think you're spot on there - I can feel nothing in the high speed corners now except for the heavy spring effect like before. :(
I guess reverting back to Fanatec recommended settings is the way to go until they eventually resolve this.
what a mess. I haven't been able to test 1.16 yet, but I was super happy with the 1.15 configuration, it had even improved my times, going back to 1.13 feedback seems like a bad step.
I don’t know how to delete this comment. It won’t let me post anything new without showing the above quotes. Lol. Ignore this comment y’all. Sorry.
1.16 is out with new FFB code.
so do we go back to Fanatec recommended if we originally liked them?
As it's not new FFB code but just the old bad FFB code of 1.13... Yes the old recommended settings from Fanatec are valid again.
It's unbelievable what mess they are doing. I liked the new 1.15 FFB and started enjoying the game again. If it is back to that shitty FFB I have no reason to play it again :(
We're many who're equally disappointed. Let's hope it's just temporary.
