So far i realy like the new firmware, but since i've installed it 3 out of 4 times when i start up my dd2 base the wheel center is way off. And sometimes the fan will spin 100% for like 3 seconds but it does not do it everytime i startup. Any imputs how i can fix these problems?
I have CSL DD and to be honest I have had no major issues with this new beta driver.
However, for some reason when playing ACC, I feel like I have a slight disconnect between my input and the reaction delayed on screen... I went back to 440 and did not have this sensation.
There is an issue with rFactor 2 sending random damper effects and turning them on/off multiple times per second. Happens especially when going into the menu and back on track repetitively.
A workaround for this is setting DPR in the tuning menu to OFF, but I see your DPR is already set to OFF right? Is the problem happening with any other game?
It's the first time I hear from both issues you mention. Is the behavior maybe dependent on the wheel which is attached? I'll try some wheels and see if I can reproduce it.
I dont think it is wheel dependent since it happens with my formula v2.5 as well.
Wheel center calibration does its job , till the next time i start up my base and have to calibrate the centre again.
The 100% fan happens rarely tho, i heard it maybe 5 times since i upgraded to 442 the day it was released. And doesnt bother me that much since it stops after 2-3 seconds. Just tought it was worth mentioning.
Then I will quote it for you straight from the first post:
"Download
Download temporarily removed to prevent further cases of problems with upgrading firmware. We'll implement several measure to prevent an update being possible in an incorrect order as well as clearer instructions on how to perform the update/downgrade correctly including guidance on how to recover a product from a state where it can't get detected anymore."
This DPR issue is long due, is not that. I tried extensively with 381 package to be sure, and yes none of this is happening with this package on rF2 or its so minor i can't feel it yet.
I have driven with 439 on AC for some time, can't say i feel this issue there, but overall i dont feel good ffb and connection with the v10 car i driven there.
@Marcel Pfister I have felt a couple of jolts with my DD2. Once was with the CS Porsche wheel with a BME while racing the Next Gen at Road America in iRacing. I've also had one with my McLaren wheel in a Mercedes, I think at Bell Isle (Detroit) also in iRacing. If it happens again, I will make sure I remember when it happens and will check and see if it affects the in game steering wheel at the time.
I had the other jolts before 442 and this was not as strong. It's still as surprising. Both times were a metallic scraping type jolt and a quick jerk to the left.
Again, I will attempt to get some more information next time I experience one. Let me know if there are any other logs I should look at.
Yes, we are coming closer as all planned measures to prevent update hickups are now implemented and we are currently testing them. We could also solve the PlayStation disconnect and P DD freeze when turning off the Xbox console.
We also have a potential fix for the steering input jump / remaining jolt but need some testing to confirm if its really fixed. If someone would like to give it a try, let me know.
Test Export with potential fix for steering input jump / jolt
To everyone having the steering input jump and jolt with iRacing or other sims, I can share a test version which potentially solves the issue and it would be great to have your feedback. Write me a PM if you would like to give it a try.
I would definitely be willing to give it a try. I am currently on driver 439. If there is a breakdown for the proper install method, I'm sure I could figure it out.

where is the zip file to download this?

Is the Hub detected which the BME is connected to?
If so many wheels have the same button and shifter issues then it seems to be caused by the base.

Was it recognizable in another sim as well or when testing the inputs in the driver?
Do you have vsync turned on in ACC or is it running in windowed mode?

should i send the base to repair ?
thank you
i did, the only thing there is something about recovery.

Ah, I thought the DPR problem on rF2 was a solved problem on the new rewritten firmware version.
Are you all getting closer to the release of 443?

Yup. That's how time works. :-)
@Marcel Pfister
Hi. I already have 442 installed in my base and worked fine. But I changed pc now and I cant get the 442 pc driver anymore. What do I do?
Different wheels have different complex communication which can cause one wheel to have an issue which another one doesn't show.

Just sent you a PM. Thank you.
I also sent you a PM Marcel because of the test export firmware, many thanks in advance

I'd like to test it out!
