Delay in FFB activating in F1 22

Im not sure if this is the game or the wheel base or maybe both, but at the beginning of a race, a resume after pausing, or a resume after a flashback, there is a 2-ish second delay in the FFB becoming active and its very disruptive, especially at race starts trying to get off the line. Anyone else experience this and/or know a remedy?

Hi !
I have the same problem, I lost the FFB after pausing or after a flashback.
It's a game issue because one of my friend has the same problem with a Logitech G290.
It's not a game issue, it's a game feature this year as it's an intended effect to fade in the FFB strength as otherwise you would get a big heavy Jolt when talking control over the car.
This might make sense for a DD wheelbase but with my wheelbase the "big heavy jolt" was never a problem just a bit annoying. I would definitely prefer it over having no control of the car. Additionaly they are not even doint it consistently. When I'm doing a flying lap in practice or qualifying there is still that sudden force and no fade in applying the FFB strength.
Imo there should be an option to turn it off.

That's actually a game issue which they need to fix to also have the soft fade-in available on those modes. Seems they "forgot" it and only implemented it in Hotlap / Time Trial Mode...
I think if you are using a wheel you anticipate the FFB. If you aren’t paying attention thats on you. This “feature” is unnecessary. Should be optional.
Well, when using a Podium DD2 it almost rips your hands off, so hard is the Jolt you get when talking control over the car. This new feature to slowly fade-in the FFB was absolutely crucial for those bases!
I don't know of any other game that does this, and I would venture to guess that the overall percentage of wheel users who are using a DD2 (or something of comparable strength) with F1 22 is quite low. This "feature" absolutely should have been optional for them, so everyone else could keep it the way it was.
But... this is all yelling in the wind. No one here can do anything about it, so... 🤷♂️
