Wheel Calibration and DD1 Fan Running

So, I thought I'd check for Fanatec firmware updates. Said updates for DD1 and McLaren GT3 available. Started the update but there was an issue and the update didn't complete (!) I tried again but I was unsuccessful. The wheel did not finish calibrating. Big "CAL" flashing on the wheel. Started a game to see what would happen and the game did not recognize that I had a wheel, and ran into the wall on pit lane. The other thing that's not right now, is the cooling fan in the DD1 is running constantly even after several reboots. How do I shut off the DD1 fan and finish calibrating the wheel? All I wanted was the latest Fanatec updates :-/

Seems you only updated the motor or the base firmware but not both, then it's normal that the Fan uns at 100%.
Uninstall your current Driver if it's not the latest one (Version 443), install latest Driver 443, open the Firmware Manager, click the green update button and follow the instructions.
Hi Maurice, Do I have to uninstall current Driver first? If so, please explain. I don't know where to look. Thanks!
Yes, as I wrote.
It's a usual uninstall like every other Windows program.
Firmware Manager is telling me that my Motor firmware is up to date and no other updates available. I click OK and the Fanatec Firmware Manger software "Not Responding"...
...fan is still running and the wheel is still not calibrated.
Fanatec Driver Package?
Please post pictures of the firmware Manager.
This error message pops up a minute or so after I click Update icon.
Not good.. Motor Firmware is shown as 0 which usually means it's dead.
However.... You are using Driver 436. I said you should uninstall that and install Driver 443...
So please do that and try it with Driver 443 which has several measures implemented to resurrect devices.
If you still have the issue with Driver 443 then the motor is bricked and you need to contact the support.
After clicking OK on the error message, the window to calibrate and install updates appears. Then it tells me latest firmware is installed.
Should I uninstall driver as you suggested and then reboot Firmware Manager and attempt to reinstall what's needed?
Is this what I need to uninstall?
Yes
Do you have al ink for 443? I couldn't find it on the Fanatec website. It's the latest Beta version, right? Thank you Maurice for all your help with this. Hope my DD1isn't toast. I'll try this changing of drivers, fingers crossed.
