Strange problem with device name

Hi guys,
I have a DD1, Podium Wheel and V3 pedals connected to wheelbase.
I'm having an annoying issue, for example I map all my inputs in ACC and the controller is listed as FANATEC Podium DD1. Everything is groovy and works as intended, then other times when I load the game (not just ACC happens in other titles too) my inputs are not detected. When I click on config to map button again my wheel is now called FANATEC Podium DD1 2 as if it's a second wheelbase connected. Has anyone else come across this or have any possible solutions?

Do you use a USB Hub?
Nope, I use an Amazon basics 2m USB 3.0 extension cable and have that plugged direct into the motherboard at the back.
Could someone please confirm if their wheel is listed twice in game controllers Windows 10. I clicked search and game controllers to get this menu up.
Yes that's normal since every Fanatec Base since 2017.
Thank you, I'll keep searching for why this is happening.
That happens because the count of possible switches of a game controller is limited by windows. So Fanatec solved that with having two controllers.
