CSL brake force set to default after restart PC

I have the CSL pedals with LC brake connected via USB to PC. Every time I restart the PC the brakeforce is reset to 30% in the Fanatec Control panel. Tried to install the newest beta driver but problem still exists. It is very annoying to set the brakeforce every time when you start the PC. Customer support is not aware of this issue hopefully someone on the forum can help me

The same thing happens to me too. I've read that it's normal with the CSL Loadcell. Maybe there will be a patch in the future.
Hope the Fanatec develop team reads this form also and hopefully they can fix it asap because as said earlier it is very annoying
I had the same issue, only that it resets to 10% after every restart , i had the pedals in the wheelbase at first but in pc mode there would be a delay in reaction to when playing, and in compatibility mode the displays were not changable in fanalab so i went with usb mode instead, with the new driver however this issue of resetting seems to be fixed, driver 436
I did install the beta driver 436, but without success. Still the settings are not saved. It is annoying to set every time the brakeforce before you start the game
yea after i restarted pc again it was not saved again, so dunno, its weird because when i restarted pc it was still same % but now after having pc off a while it was 10 again, hope they fix it, at least the double brake force bar is gone in the settings
The BRF being reset is a Firmware issue which is currently being looked into to get fixed with an upcoming Firmware.
Great, hope it will be soon
Found a workaround!
Try setting the brake force in Windows "Set up USB game controllers" Control Panel instead of the Fanatec one. Seems to have worked for me.
Still no solution for described problem, new firmware is apparently difficult. You would expect a swift solution from Fanatec, but it stays silent
Hey Team
Sorry I am late to the party.
One way how I found to have the brake take is by not even using a PC. Not sure what wheel you are using but on my WRC wheel I just made the adjustments on the steering wheel. Just press the tuning button and go to brake force (brF). Adjust it to where you want and no matter many times you turn the base on and off it will stay at your adjusted settings.
Let me know if this works out for you. Hope it helps!
We have a winner!
I had this issue with all of my default settings reverting to a previous saved setting. Even with Fanalab it wouldn't always change when starting a game with the default setting, but this works! IDK what I did before when it saved because I never use the wheel to adjust settings, until now. 😄
Thanks Mate!
Well, an even easier solution is to just use the latest driver and firmware which have fixed the issue some months ago....
I was/am using the latest firmware and drivers and that didn't work smartass.
How exciting! My first comment on this page and I immediately found a troll.
💩
Even though after such an answer you wouldnt deserve any more help... which "latest" driver and firmware are you using?
The really latest ones have the issue fixed, so even though you thought you used the "latest" ones, you definitely didn't.
Even after such a response you don't deserve an answer to that question.
My post said the issue was resolved.
See ya around the hood Karen.
:D
Hey, I'm having the same issue with my brand new Elite V2, using the Driver 447. When I plugged the pedals in USB today, there was no update available for it apparently.
What's the issue exactly?
Which base with which Firmwares are you using?
The issue is that the brake force is automatically set to 50% whenever I launch a game despite me setting it differently in the fanatec control panel and with the wheel menu in-game.
It is non existent if I use the pedals plugged in USB though, it only happens if it's plugged on the wheelbase. So it's fine for me, it's just as an info for the next ones.
I'm using a CSL DD with boost.
Firmware 1.1.7.6 for the wheel base, 1.0.2.2 for the motort and 1.6 for the pedals.
Do you use FanaLab and maybe you have set a profile as the games default profile where BRF is set to 50%?
Or do you maybe cut power off the base by pulling the power from the wall instead of properly powering-off the base with the power button?
If not then II would contact the support because something with the memory is not right then. This should definitely NOT happen - and it actually is not happening anymore for literally everyone else so something is not right with either your settings or your hardware.
You are right Maurice, it seems to be coming from Fanalab. I did not know (and still don't know where to look) that it had an impact on the BRF settings!
I finally found the option to change the BRF settings. Surprisingly, the "recommended FFB settings" profile sets the BRF to 50% despite it not being visible in the "Tuning Menu Preview" window in "Game Profile".
Also surprising, the "recommended FFB settings" profile sets the Clutch Bite Point to 0 for my Podium Paddle Module despite it also not being visible in the "Tuning Menu Preview" window in "Game Profile".
I'm gonna have to try this cause I've been having this issue for freaking ever.
