Is CSL DD discontinued?
I know it might be a bit provocative, but in light of Fanatec not coming out with an update themselves (Latest post I can find from them here is April 2020) and their customer service just says "We don't know", I'll start to doubt the product will be back in stock again?
My problem I´am having is wanted a CSL DD for over a year now, and have received both the steering wheel and pedals as gifts. So now, almost a year after I got the steering wheel and pedals, they are still unused and I haven't seen the stock status change on either version of the CSL.
Does anyone have the remotest idea if I should sell what I have and find another brand, or if there is a future in Fanatec?
Being sold out for over 1 year seems to have a deeper underlying cause than a little chip shortage (The world has moved on)

Looks like you didn't read that, or at least not carefully.

II have to admit that I didn´t. The title of that article gave me the impression that it was only the specific ddpro set (Which I can't use for anything)
But after reading it, it seems that something might happen. Thanks for the link to the post.
I have to admit that I'm amazed that you've waited for over a year, especially with wheel and pedals ready to go. Pretty sure I would have long since given up, sold my stuff, and gone with something more readily available from Moza, Simagic, or similar.
Unless, of course, you need that console compatibility. And if you're dead set on direct drive, then well... Fanatec know they've got you over a barrel, and all you can do is hurry up and wait.
Yes, when I have to use it exclusively for an xbox, I can't find any good alternatives that are direct drive.
I had a Thrustmaster TX before and wanted to upgrade to direct drive, so I sold that and of course didn't think I would have to wait that long! So no, no sim games have been played with me for almost 1 year now and it's really a bad start to my meeting with Fanatec.
But if there are other good alternatives for a quality direct drive for Xbox, please let me know!
CSL DD 8NM is now available for pre-order. March 10th ship date. Like most, I've waited almost 8 months for this day. lol
A bit more expensive than a CSL DD plus pedals and a wheel (depending on the components you choose), but you do get 11Nm as opposed to a maximum of 8. I can't speak to it's quality or long term durability vs. Fanatec products, but if you want DD on consoles, this is pretty much your only legit option aside from waiting for stock from Fanatec.
I think OP ate some of the desiccant that came with their wheel.
