It's import charges and is for the UK VAT plus a small handling fee. It's normal when buying from outside the EU .
Wow £76 on top of what I've already payed might as well just decline the delivery amd send it back and buy one from the UK, £800 + that shit takes the piss alittle if u ask me
So ok I get the taxes but why have they send 5 different boxes why not just all in one box ??
Fanatec always ship in separate boxes - makes no sense to me either but it's their normal practice.
The fact that you are being asked to pay the VAT on import really should not be a surprise to you in 2023. VAT payment rules on EU imports changed with Brexit - over three years ago!
So my next question is would my import taxes be cheaper if they just sent it all in one box??
No, it's charged on the total purchase price.
Depends - as long as Fanatec process as a single shipment it makes no difference if it is on one box or several boxes - you will be charged 20% VAT on the shipped price plus a handling fee. But if they were to process as separate shipments you could end up paying multiple handling fees. If everything is in stock, Fanatec generally process as a single shipment.
