Where should I reduce the FFB?

For GT7, I prefer to reduce the strength of the wheel. Now, is it better to keep the FFB at 100% in the wheelbase and reduce the Force Feedback Max.Torque in GT7 below 5?

Or should I keep it at 5 in GT7 and reduce the FFB in the wheelbase to below 100%?

(And in case I want to do the same in another game, is there a preferred way in general or does it not really matter?)

It is better to keep the FFB in the wheelbase at 100% with GT DD Pro and reduce the Force Feedback Max.Torque in GT7.

If you have a Podium DD with 20 Newton meters of torque then you can reduce the strength off the FFB in the wheelbase.

Okay thx, I wonder though why that is? Is it because it could cause clipping when you reduce the FFB in the wheelbase?

  • You can also try setting LINEAR instead of PEAK in the tuning menu, it will reduce force from 8nm to 6nm for GT7 if you find 3 or 4 is too weak for in game torque. Also will give a slighlty different feel to the torque curve, which some have preferred

Interesting, I will have to try that to see if I like it more on Linear
