Hello, could I get an explanation (or directed on where to find out) what the different colors mean on the top of the wheel while driving. Wheel is csl p1 v2.
Thanks

They have no special meaning.
They just indicate different RPM values and on the third different color you should shift.
what game you play? by default developer could add all kind funny stuff what Maurice not even know
No Game Developer is doing any of this funny stuff as they have guidelines how to use it (which you dont even know of).
They all implement it the same without any exception.
Its purely to indicate different RPM values - thats it.
well, at real f1 by default at that rpm line have also other stuff like drs on and so on
That's reflected on FlagLEDs on wheels which have those.
This is not supported on the RevStripe.
So irrelevant for the OP.
what if i tell , i add the drs to the rpm without you knowing
A customer can not do that, not even with FanaLab.
But this is not used natively in ANY game.
EVERY game uses them just as indicators of the current RPM.
Nothing more, nothing less.
And that was the question of the OP so no need to discussed this any further what COULD be possible, when it actually is NOT done by any game. What's possible in theory is not important for the OP and is explicitly not what he wanted to know.
what is fanalab? i not use fanalab, i use a developer sdk where i can self control a leds how i want
FanaLab is the tool customers can control LEDs and other stuff.
there is no rule book that developer must use that line only for rpm
But EVERY Game is doing exactly that - and that answers the question from Richard.
The colors have no meaning - they indicate the current RPM value - in ANY game, without exception.
Had a look, even customers themselve could only change the RevStripe color for RPM purposes, they can NOT change it to any other crazy stuff. So they ALWAYS indicate RPM.
What COULD be done is completely irrelevant and was not his question.
So we should stick to what IS done, not what COULD be done, and end it here.
Thx.
red may mean that rpm is max
green/yellow may mean that close to rpm max
blue may mean that someone lapping you
depends of developer made this or not made, yellow may mean also that there is yellow flag at track, green may mean that all is ok and you may push max
but its really depends how developer made this
Do I speak against a wall?
"blue may mean that someone lapping you" "yellow may mean also that there is yellow flag at track, green may mean that all is ok and you may push max" -> NO!!! This is NOT the case for ANY game!
Yellow is ALWAYS the first RPM indicator which turns on at roughly 60% of the max RPM or so, followed ALWAYS by red which is ALWAYS the "middle" RPM indicator which turns on at around 80% of the max RPM or so and then ALWAYS followed by blue which indicates the last RPM state atn roughly 90% of the max RPM or so before it then ALWAYS goes white at around 99% of the max RPM which is the Shift Point which indicates you should shift.
This is the same for EVERY game without exception!
No game uses it for anything else, so please PLEASE stop with this what COULD be possible. This was NOT the question of the OP. Your answers just irritate him so please accept that currently its just RPM in ANY game! This MIGHT change in the future, but currenty its RPM - ALWAYS!
csl p1 v2 not have the rpm line at all
What?
Of course it does, just tested.
It's properly lighting up in Yellow, Red, Blue, White.
