Mclaren GT3 v2 random disconnects

I've had my wheel for about 4 months and it has started to disconnect randomly about once every 2/3 races for about 10/15 secs. The ffb is still present just no button inputs.
The steering will go light, then it connects again. I have read about similar issues and RMA. I was wondering if anyone knew why this was happening and a potential fix rather than RMA?
I use VR and recording a video of it happening is not possible at the min because it's reconnected before I could get the chance to video it. Thanks.

Unfortunately I'm all too familiar with this. This really should be stickied, (if that's even possible on these forums), but Fanatec would never do that because it makes them look bad.
