Buttons and paddles stop working mid race - CSW 2.5 / Formula V2

Hi, I have had a few instances today of all buttons and paddles becoming unresponsive on my FV2 wheel on a CSW 2.5 mid race. All is fine, and then they just stop working. Pedals, force feedback and steering remain working. The first two times, I had to restart the wheelbase to get them working again. The third time it came back after I changed some gears using the keyboard with secondary mapping in Iracing.

nothing had changed on my rig, all drivers and firmware is up to date, and its never happened before. All physical checks of the wheelbase and wheel appear as normal.

Can anyone help with a solution or rectification please?
