Follow the readme files I have included which will tell you that you need to copy-paste the new Profile CarsList to bind the new profiles to the new cars.
Or you bind the profiles manually by yourself which also only takes seconds.
first of all, a BIG thank you for Maurice, people like you make those communities special…
i have been driving for over a year now the dd pro and I just started using the DD2 a week ago, and I just learned about fanalab and your profiles.
until now I was just using “recommended settings”
but I have a couple of questions, in order to have the correct values, it is necessary to load the profile from Fanalab everytime you swap the car? And another question, are the LEDs working with Fanalab off or it needs to run in the background all the time?
sorry, but I am not at home until thursday and I can’t wait to try it myself!:)
When you use my profiles and follow my readme files, then you dont have to ever load a profile mnually, its all done automatically by the Lab via the CDALP (Car dependent automatic loading profile) feature.
FanaLab needs to be running (in the Task is enough) to let FanaLab do its magic though.
If you take all the QoL things out of the equation then no, not really, other than maybe a more stable base on a straight without oscillations when you would use the Dynamic Damper feature of the Lab. All other features the Lab offers are (amazing) QoL features which you would never wanna miss when once experienced.
I tried to install the profiles following your readme file. I think is not totally working. I took your Profilecarlist_acc.xml and substitute it for the one in the Fanalab xml folder. Is this correct? because I think somehow the game is not conecting with the profiles... what am I doing wrong?
Ok, now I think I start to understand Fanalab a bit better. I know now how to load the profile (with double click) and also how to link it to the car from the ACC game. So far so good.
When I double click and the profile is loaded, all the LED and aesthetical things are working nicely.
However the Tuning Menu is always showing the same values for all FFB settings. It always keeps the ones recommended from Fanatec, but not from your profiles. Do your profiles also have special FFB settings? Or should I leave the "Recommended ones"?
With the correct in game settings my profiles should be around 8-11 Nm in regular turns with Peaks of up to 15 Nm. This can be seen in the Motor Info Analysis Page of the DD2 OLED.
Its official, im a very weak men :D but the display says around 9 to 10 in last corner at Monza. So i supose its all perfect, exept for my muscles.
Small question, i have seen a youtuber who explained Liniar is best for DD, because Peak is more for beld driven, but you and Fanatec use PEAK most of the time, is there a way for you to explain to me why and how this is different.
Peak is the way to go for Direct Drives in the Tuning Menu.
What you might have saw was the suggestion to use Linear FFB mode in the iRacing settings, that's indeed the way to go for DDs but in the Tuning Menu it's Peak.
Man, it is so disappointing that Fanatec releases a high-quality wheel which has no purpose in racing games.
Not sure who to blame on this, why is EA WRC lacking all in car adjustment and why does Fanatec use the once a year premium wheel for something completely pointless.
Got to give the 🤡 award to both companies for this.
Was expecting top software support for Fanalab for this title, but the revs don´t even line up on the Podium Button Modul Endurance. The last 20% of the rev limiter illuminate all lights making rev leds pointless.
I know this is because of Codemasters, but still was hyped for the Fanatec Wheel and really wonder why you invested so much time in a premium product which is locked in a exclusive deal for years so it will very likely never be used in sim racing.
Can you please tell EA that they get all buttons to work for the right in car adjustments?
The incorrect native LED support is not FanaLab related, you need to report this in the Codemasters Forum, not in the Fanatec Forum.
That FanaLab currently does not support the game at all is also not FanaLab related as the game simply does not support UDP and Shared Memory telemetry output at launch, only Dbox works, no other telemetry based software works. For this you also should raise your concern in the Codemasters Forum.
Hey Maurice, is there something weird happening with Dynamic FFB in this version of Fanalab?
I've tried two cars so far in iRacing using your profiles and notice that the dynamic FFB is giving a strange feeling in the wheel when I'm at speed and the wheel is around 0* or +/- 10*. If I'm going straight and try weave by turning the wheel from side to side, it becomes noticeable.
It's hard to explain but it feels like something is loose in the wheel and I can almost feel a slight 'clicking' feeling? Almost like the wheel base is trying to send a signal but is failing.. It's really hard to explain but I thought something was wrong with my wheel base until I turned off Dynamic FFB and the problem went away.
Just wanted to check and see if anyone else has reported this feeling or if there are any known issues with dynamic ffb at this point.
That's how it feels.. I also dont like how it feels but in iRacing it's necessary to not get too crazy oscillations due to the low 60 Hz FFB refresh rate of that particular game...
Thanks for the reply - that's interesting though, I've been turning it off for each car and to me, it definitely feels better without. I guess perhaps the oscillations don't bother me as much.
Is there any other way to reduce the oscillations via in game settings or otherwise? If I recall correctly, your previous iracing profiles with fanalab 1.69.x had the dynamic FFB feature disabled?
Out of curiosity, is this issue more prevalent with the newer version of fanalab or was there something in iracing that changed which caused the oscillations to be more pronounced?
I know the 60hz refresh has been a pain point of iracing forever, I'm just wondering why you started enabling dynamic FFB in your profiles (which are otherwise amazing to use). Not a criticism by any means, I'm mostly just curious from a fanalab setup point of view.

Hello Guys !
I have done the update on Fanalb and also the new Maurice profiles.
I install everything following all steps but this append on the new Iracing cars ( ex new Ferrari gt3 , BMW M Hybrid v8 , etc )
The white car doesn’t appear and they don’t load the car profile automatically.
can someone help me ? I’m totally a noob guy 😅
how can I solve that ? I’m using the Podium Steering wheel Porsche 911 with DD2 .
Thks very much

Maurice , now is all good 👌🏻
Thanks you so much ! With out you fanatec wouldn't be the same .
Best Regards 😎
I am using dd1 and bmwm4. wheel led does not change on bmw gt3 with iracing. It changes on other cars. How can led change? Thank you in advance.

please let me know if some day you visit Mallorca! You have a few beers on me!!

Hi Maurice, do you have any profile for the new WRC? Thanks
WRC does not output any UDP or Shared Memory Data, so it wont be supported by FanaLab anytime soon and therefore also no profile from me, no.
As someone that avoided fanalab so far, is there any REAL benefit of having it installed?
If i remove all the QoL/aesthetical things out of the equation, do i get any improvement on my dd1 by using fanalabs?

Anyone having problems with F1 23, I don't know why but profiles aren't loading...

OOOOOk! problem solved!!!
I had the old version 1.99!! despite I clicked for "check updates" and told me I had the last version, I hadn't... all working good now! thanks!!!!
Hey Maurice,
I tried your ACC profiles, and inmust say they are heavy, i own a dd2 and my brother a cls dd. And its more than twice as heavy.
I owned a E92 M3 and its steering felt like a feather compared to your profiles. I mean its hard to do 5 laps.
I saw someone telling it could be a hardware problem, he returned it and got another one back.
Well, before i do that, how heavy should it be?
With the correct in game settings my profiles should be around 8-11 Nm in regular turns with Peaks of up to 15 Nm. This can be seen in the Motor Info Analysis Page of the DD2 OLED.
Thanks!!
Ill install a camera, since i game in VR, or is there a app i can use to record it?

Hello,
at my BMW M4 GT3 I can not set the brightness of the button 10 (WIP) to low.
The sequenz is off-low-mid-high. The led glow only at mid and high.
Is this fanalab or firmware issue? Or is It a faulty led?
Fanalab version 2.00.09

Hi Maurice, good afternoon.
First of all, thank you for your work in helping us by providing the settings for the different simulators and their cars!!
I have a DD1 and everything works perfectly. I just bought a 15NM Clubsport + base.
I wonder if there will be profiles for the different simulators and their cars like you do for DD1 and DD2?
Or if it will only be necessary to adjust the force percentage for the FFB and maintain the original settings for the Podium bases?
Thank you very much,
Cláudio Brandão
New ver 2.00.09 don't save led setting. When i restart pc all my rgb settings return to default.
You need to close FanaLab properly in order to get the settings stored into the "CurrentSettings.xml" file.
Best is to always save LEDs to a profile so they dont get lost.
I didn't know that, in the old version you only needed to edit. Thank you
