Shift Point Brackets are separate but can be synced easily with a "Sync" button to show at the "Flash" value of the RevLEDs. But you can also let them always show, its up to the user how he configures them.
@Maurice Böschen 455 and 2.01.21 and new profiles installed / edited for DD1 and all working fine here on a DD1, PBME & v3 Pedals, just one question.
Is it by design that the sliders are grey colour in the Tuning Menu section unless you highlight them then they turn yellow?
Prevous versions the slider bars were red all the time in Tuning menu and while it's not a big deal when first coming into that section it felt like the sliders were not active as they were all grey.
Once I highlighted a row to try to adjust then the slider bar turns yellow but it did make me wonder for a second if they were not active for some reason. maybe change them back to a solid colour all the time and only use grey if they are inactive through a setting or fault.
Just an observation and obviously not a priority but it tweaks my brain seeing them like that when first entering that section
That is the new look of FanaLab 2.0, less "in-your-face" but a more soft modern fresh look in grey colors and yellow highlights to feature the new brand identity color.
Hi Maurice and thanks for all of these profiles. I have the CS DD and tested several of these out and really like the way they feel. I am wondering if the first value in the file name would be different for the 12nm vs. the 15nm? Thoughts on how you would change this or any other values for the 12? Is there a specific list for the 12 that I overlooked?
Also I can’t seem to get the profiles to load automatically when I get in that specific car. I noticed that the little cars on the left hand side are not green and not sure what I’m doing wrong. Also what is the car list in there vs. profile list? All new to me so far and appreciate the assistance.
From my README file (important parts are highlighted):
Installation instructions:
1. In FanaLab go to the Game Profile Tab and click on the Import button.
2. Select the profiles you want to import.
Note: You can import several profiles at once from a folder. Afterwards the selected profiles will appear in the profile list.
3. If not already done previously: click the two green buttons above the profile list to "Enable Telemetry" and "Enable FanaLab's Game LED/Hwardware Support" to not get interfering from native game LED / Display implementation.
Follow the instructions shown to you if FanaLab is not already doing it's magic on it's own.
4. To bind the profiles to the respective car, just copy/paste the content of the included ProfileCarsList_iRacing.xml file into the already existing ProfileCarsList_iRacing.xml file, located in the folder C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Fanatec\FanaLab\xml.
If you do not have the AppData folder, then you first need to unhide hidden folders in Windows.
Note: The car icons on the left are not supposed to be green, they are supposed to be white.
If profiles dont get loaded automatically even though the white car icon is shown in fron of the profile name, then something went wrong with the copy/paste of the ProfileCarsList_iRacing.xml file and you will need to do it again or bind the cars on your own by clicking on the white car in the top row, select the car you want to bind to the currently selected profile and then select click on the respective bind button.
For W10: open File Explorer, select "View" > "Options" > "Change folder and search options" and then select the "View" tab and, in "Advanced settings", select "Show hidden files, folders and drives" and click "OK".
For W11: open File Explorer, click "Layout and view options" (the second menu from the right), select "Show" and check the "Hidden items" option.
5. Apply the following in-game FFB settings:
Enable Force Feedback: checked
Use Linear Mode: checked
Reduce force when parked: checked
Max force: first number of the profile name** (same for regular CS DD and CS DD+)
Wheel force: second number of the profile name (change this to 12 Nm for the regular CS DD)
Smoothing: 0%
Damping: 0%
Min force: 0.0%
**This is the slider above the 'Wheel Force' setting. If it is showing 'Strength' values, you can click the text to switch to 'Max Force' values.
Hm interesting. There are more and more of us who have a problem with BME freeze. And the biggest annoying factor, this problem very randomly happen...
Has this been fixed as I still have a problem with LEDand Vibrations settings not being saved and thus I have to set everytime I open Fanalab
Was fine before this release
I cant find CurrentConfig.xml in the xml folder, there is a CurrentSettings.xml and Configuration.xml, but niether of the update dates on them reflect any changes made by me
Every known issue regarding the CurrentSettings.xml file are fixed with 2.01.21, yes.
You should uninstall and re-install the latest version. On first start the CurrentSettings.xml file will be copied to the xml folder in AppData (if not already available).
Settings can only save to the CurrentSettings.xml file when you close the Lab with the "X" though. When you just power-off your PR before previously closing the Lab, then the Lab cant save the settings. That cant be fixed and is a limitation of the Software.
Hi Maurice, I have confirmed all is correct per the read me files. I can see my cars are bond when I click on your profile in FL it places a small white page to the left of the car in the above car list for its matching car. I noticed when I switched cars FL locks up gray in the device not matching pop up window. So if I don’t have 100% matching equipment how can I get the base profiles to load automatically with the game? It locks up until I force close and restart it every time I switch a car
I was wondering since i only switch between 3-4 cars per season can I set up the pre settings 1-5 to match your profile and LEDs with some type of quick copy or import or does it have to be completed manually? Thanks for all the help
I am wondering if I changed the .pws file index per highlighted to 2-5 for my other cars would that manually load to its respective tuning index spot? I may try it and see but don't want to mess anything up.
Ah, CDALP cant work when you use different hardware than what I have saved the profiles with when you have the option "Enable device mismatch warning on game profile auto load" enabled in the FanaLab settings. Make sure that option is disabled (so the status indicator light is red and not green) and then this message should not come up when CDALP tries to load a profile which uses different hardware than yours.
Other workaround would be to load a profile and directly overwrite it after loading so it gets saved with "your" hardware, then there would never be a device mismatch warning come-up ;)
OK so I finally figured this all out. First of all the locking up issues were due to that mismatch hardware pop up like I thought. The part I missed was I needed to resave the profile with my hardware and any small tweaking, if any. Once I did this to 4-5 cars I now can just change cars and it loads automatically as it was intended. This is going to be so nice switching back and forth since I really like Maurice's profiles. They seem to match with my driving and feel/preference of FFB.
BTW, I did change that SetupIDX to other values and it works as I thought it would. This will make life easy when switching from vee to FF1600 in less than 5min and then to my league nascar races! As well as my ATS FFB tuning. Thanks for all the hard work on the profiles!!
The override method saving over the file worked perfect for me. Probably the one that makes the most sense since its different equipment. I really only want the FFB for the base and LED rev.
Is there no way to add a custom game/profile without adding a detection path?
I understand limitations exist for Gamepass games like Forza but I'd still like to be able to add a custom game so I can manually select the profile I want to use. I don't care about telemetry/launching games via Fanalab, just want to use it for profile management and switch manually.
I can't click ADD if I leave the Exe detection path blank but I can't add .exe due to permissions. I just want the game in there so I can create different profiles for them and load them manually.
SimHub has no issues detecting forza and grabbing telemetry data for dash so it seems like it's possibe.
"Is there no way to add a custom game/profile without adding a detection path?" -> No.
But there is a way to add the FM exe to the Lab as Custom Game:
You need to add the gamelaunchhelper.exe file as Custom game (because the forza_gaming.desktop.x64_release_final.exe file is limited in access and cant be added through the Lab itself), then change the exe file manually in the CustomGameConfig.xml from that gamelaunchhelper.exe to forza_gaming.desktop.x64_release_final.exe and then the Lab detects that FM is running and it auto-loads the game default profile.
Comments
That is a planned feature to expose this in the FanaLab UI next year, yes.
thanks for the info :)
Very good, thanks! :)
Quick Follow up: https://www.reddit.com/r/Fanatec/comments/18l4gc7/question_about_fanalab/
Are Brackets based on Flash? I am still learning Fanalabs so a lot of this is confusing to me. And if not is there a way to sync them for BMR etc?
This video shows the brackets on McLaren wheel working on every shift at idle etc. Which is all i really want. https://youtu.be/SFXocXzjaj4?t=2051
Shift Point Brackets are separate but can be synced easily with a "Sync" button to show at the "Flash" value of the RevLEDs. But you can also let them always show, its up to the user how he configures them.
Really great. Will it work on the ClubSport RS as well?
AFAIK the feature would only be supported by wheels with RGB LEDs as those LEDs can be controlled, static LEDs dont support this AFAIK.
Update: the issue still exists. So, hope we can fix in the future somehow.
Your BME freeze? If yes, which game?

Is there a way to have those profile on CSL DD ?
LEDs yes, Tuning Menu no. At least I dont recommend the Tuning Menu settings for CSL DD as CSL DD needs very different settings.
All my hope … poof🤣
any idea if someone did a work like this for the csl dd ?
