DD PRO vibration issue
Hi, I bought a new setup of DD Pro 8nm 3 months ago, but for 1 month i note some rubbed/strong vibration on the wheel after some minutes of playing(approximately 30 min) Generally i play in Gran Turismo 7 on my PS5. I didn’t understand when and why it comes, because sometimes this issue can happen after 30 min, some time after 1h. Rarely everything works good without it. The vibration seems like something sharps with the metal inside, the vibration loud enough, moreover it feel a lot of on my hands, i tried to change settings but it didn’t help at all, also it seems like turn 0 on the settings called FFB Interpolation Filter, but bit another feeling. As for me its starts when I installed the newer version of the software. Probably i over-mark too much, because I want that everything works ideal, moreover from Fanatec

It could be a few different things:
Here's a link to one of my old threads with the image for the shaft disconnect should you have that issue: https://forum.fanatec.com/discussion/25936/gt-dd-pro-shaft-disconnect-permanent-fix-found
I already changed the position of this round thing, especially like in your instructions but vibration didn’t disappear. More often it happens on the straights or when the wheel is like on the photo
A few years ago some had this problem. Fanatec had sent them a specific firmware, which in any case will now be obsolete. I remember that some Wheelbases have been replaced.
Reinstall the 451 driver, and downgrade the firmware.
If the problem continues, contact support.
For reinstall what to do ? Just to download the older firmware and connect the wheel or i have to do manual downgrade?
Also I thought that it’s problems of some different circuits which overload the base their effects but for example i drive for one week in daytona in gt 7 and at the beginning of the week everything was perfect but yesterday it come again…
Download the GT DD Pro Manual. from the website: https://fanatec.com/us-en/racing-wheels-direct-drive-bases/direct-drive-bases/gran-turismo-dd-pro-wheel-base-8-nm?_gl=1*1jn3y9j*_up*MQ..*_ga*MTYyNDcyNDEwNC4xNzA1MTcwNDcy*_ga_Q6VYC4JPVE*MTcwNTE3MDQ3MS4xLjEuMTcwNTE3MDQ3Ni4wLjAuMA..
Go to downloads page and get the DD Pro Manual. In there is a link to the Drivers PDF guide.
To downgrade, follow the instructions in the manual, but keep in mind that the procedure may be different now. Fanatec has removed the direct link to that document for quite some time now.
I downgraded the firmware version but also after 40 min of playing it appears. I revealed that the settings SPR %
of this effect at all.
I revealed that the settings SPR % turned of this strange vibration effect at all
Did you get it fixed?
Also you mentioned that it was during the straights. Often in the straights if you take your hands off the wheel it will oscillate. That can be fixed with settings. Damper can help. Among others.
Yes, when reducing that SPR parameter it helps to avoid this vibrations. But it is strange why sometimes with full SPR parameter everything works great and moreoften doesn’t work. It is not normal, no ?
Yes, it makes sense. If the game doesn't use SPR, leaving it at 100 could mean interference on that FFB "channel".
Ok, understood. Thanks man a lot !
Best of luck!
Note that SPR is not really a good FFB Setting. It's more of a false setting that just always tries to center the wheel instead of letting the FFB that comes from the game do it. It's likely still a setting just so you can use a wheel that has no FFB output.
Ok, thanks! Because I already thought that with my wheel base something wrong, some factory defects, fortunately not)
In reality this is not the case, FOR, DPR and SPR come from the game and make up the FFB.
Some games use only FOR, some only 2 values, some 3.
This is not a fake effect, it is one of the three raw values that come from the game. If the game uses it, resetting it can change the FFB a lot.
had the same issue with my dd pro. Felt like a constant current is going through the rim.
sent it in for repair and they replaced pcb. After that it got significantly reduced but still noticeable.
upgraded from p1 wheel to clubsport rs and the heavier wheel eliminated the vibrations almost completely
did Fanatec reply to you what is the problem? Is it factory defects or what ?
Unfortunately, yesterday after some minutes of playing the vibrations came again… and SPR settings didn’t help at all this time
I have the same problem in both GT7 and Rf2, is there a solution or is it a base problem?
Has anyone found a solution? Thanks
