CS DD+ base is bricked. I'm new to fanatec support.

I ordered the GT DD Extreme two weeks ago. I got it on March 1st. The CS DD+ base bricked itself on March 2nd. I put in a support ticket that day. When will they get back to me and what can I expect them to do?

First of all, if you remember, did you try to power it off while it was booting up ( from the moment you turn it on to the moment you hear the little chime sound that USB device is connect ) ? This might be the reason why it bricked itself ( manufacturing issue, not yours )
Don't expect anything at this point, the costumer support is absolutely overwhelmed and are trying their best I hope. If you have a serious itch to race, try going on second hand market and get your self a trusty Thrustmaster T300 ( maybe sell it after it is resolved ). If such option is not viable for you then you will most likely have to wait a long time ( at least a month from what I have learned, but even such time window is not guaranteed or checked, many people are facing the same issue, some say Fanatec will replace it, some haven't even heard an initial answer to their support ticket ).

Do you know if there is a way to do a factory reset when it's turned off? like a pinhole reset button?
I don't know any way to factory reset it. And from what I can see on the forum, its not known to public.

I don't belive I did that. It had already been on for awhile when it happened. I was trying to put it in ps5 mode and it wouldn't switch over. So then I tried powering down and it didn't turn off. A few moments later it shut itself off and never turned back on.
well, this gives us some more information. Probably did something similar to powering it off while it was booting, just didn't knew it, as your finger was covering the little light. Or perhaps some power buttons are faulty and causes some internal shorting of the circuits.
Since i used mine strictly on pc, i didnt try to switch between other modes, so i cant say i had the same sequence before the issue happened. But pressing the button while the Clubsport DD was powered on didnt change the light for me, and i believe it should have ( left it as it was, because it worked fine on pc ). So it can be a problem in the power button wiring shorting out if you fiddle with it too much or something like that.
Maurice you better be taking notes and helping out your coworkers find the root cause and the actual problem of these brickings. Many users are bricked up, though sadly in a bad way :D
MAURICE, I am having the exact same issue like this member named Caleb Nedden, Coincidentally I too got mine on March 1, 2024; and the exact same thing is happening to mine. I now wonder if that batch of wheel bases has a defect and it might not be the firmware…. In any case, I have sent RMA request for refunds and I still have not heard back at all from anyone in Fanatec….. I WANT TO SEND IT BACK TO GET A REFUND!! ORDER #: 1921837….I AM NOT SATISFIED WITH THIS PRODUCT AT ALL AND WANT MY REFUND!!!
I got the same issue of my new DD+, too. So frustrated that I even hadn’t got a chance to play!
Same here. Received my DD+, did all recommended FW updates from Fanatec control panel. Reboot PC and DD+. Base did not show any lights after pressing the power button. After a few moments my Porsche GT shows FANATEC and then nothing. Powering On/ Of, holding power button for 10 sec, installing older version of driver; Nothing. Base not shown as divice on PC.
So my thought is, there is no active USB connection after update and restart of base. Opened a ticket, now waiting.
It is very hard to understand that there is no solution for this problem. Reading so much threads describing this problem since more than a half year and Fanatec did nothing to fix it. Neither they are communicating this problem to their customers.
I'm really disappointed. A product for about 1400,- € (incl. neccesssary QR2) and did not work at all.
What are your experience about the RMA process? I don't want to wait another 2 or more month until I can play.

I received my Gran Turismo DD Extreme yesterday, on 26/07/2024, and despite reading about these issues before I placed my order and thinking to myself, surely all these issues would have been related to an older batch, but NO! Surprise, surprise... I literary made a fool of myself!
Opened the box, set everything up, 3-4 hours of play on my PS5, really enjoyed the wheel in Gran Turismo 7, and finally, I got exactly what you guys have... a bricked wheelbase... exactly the same situation as described by Thorsten Peemoeller above.
I raised my ticket this morning and didn't even get an acknowledgment email from Fanatec or anything, nor do I know a way of tracking the progress/status of my ticket! No reference, literary nothing!
Appreciate some people have been waiting a lot longer than me but is it worth ringing them on Monday and chasing things up... this is because I just cannot justify spending almost £1200 for approx. 3-4 hours of fun :( I just don't know what to do right now...
Same here. DD+ delivered 01/08/2024 setup the next day. Turned on once ran for 15min on Xbox and turned everything off. Wheel base wont turn on again and unrecognized by the PC. Raised a ticked but no confirmation received which seems normal. You just have to hope it went through as the report system is really buggy asking for a subject when you have done that then saying a ticket has already been raised. These wheel bases looking here and Reddit have been failing for many months now without any action by Fanatec. Together with the extremely bad customer service and long wait times. Seriously considering giving it a few days to see if I hear anything (Not expecting to) then putting in a request for a return and refund of the entire order within the 14 day period. Probably have to wait weeks for that to happen also. And get out of this mad house that I've become involved with. I'm out of pocket some A$3200.00 for all the gear on this order and can't use any of it.
Did they ever replace/repair yours? I'm curious if there is any indication on turn around times to resolution. I just created a support ticket yesterday. It seems like there is a confluence of issues going on with the company at the moment.
