In F1 2020 you need to disable Fanatec LED option, enable UDP-Telemetry, set the UDP-Port to the one you have set in FanaLab, set UDP-Send rate to 60Hz and then set UDP-Format to 2019, NOT 2020!
I tried, but leds are not working, in fanalab I have a "telemetry is uninitialized" message in the bottom of the window.
I don't master fanalab at all, so I don't know how to change settings about telemetry in fanalab (like the port), so I think I will have to wait an update to make it work.
Not possible. Every car uses again a different RPM % range so you have to adjust the % accordingly. The values in his Screenshot will result in basically nothing because his first led lights up at 85 but in reality at that % level the last led should already light up.
Also if you mean native led, so not FanaLab, then this also doesn't light up 100% perfect with in Game leds, only flash is correct but the rest isnt, especially not the right color.
I did the workaround and got really excited when I started a Time Trial, it all worked perfectly as advertised, I was really happy. I then went across to My Team to continue and couldn't understand why it wasn't working. Went back to Time Trial, all lights work again.
Just tried, no they don't. First led doesn't light up at the very exact moment as the in game led, it's off. Only flash is correct, the rest doesn't match.
Oh and BTW, Color are THE reason because FanaLab is so great. Much more immersive to have the same colors as in Game and not just yellow, red, blue...
Just tried this and it doesn't seem to work for me. F1 2020 launches fine from within Fanalab and I have the game setting as per this post, but I get nothing in the game - no leds or display. Setting copied verbatim for the config file.
Interestingly, when clicking on the green enable buttons, I get a message saying "F1 2019: Config file setup success". So something is potentially pointing to the wrong place (unless this is a 'canned' message in which case it may be ok?...)
Since Fanatec is supporting AMS2 officially...dunno, wouldnt it be cool that when 1.0 was launched Fanalab work with it ? :) it even uses PCARS2 shared memory so its not like its an entire new thing ....
Like I told you yesterday: does somebody really manage to make it work? I am really curious about it, because I was really cautious about it and nothing has any effect.
I tried UDP set on, set off, changing ip adress, changing the frequence, format 2019 or 2020, telemetry public or not: it never works
I repeat my question about changing rpm percentage in fanalab: the sliders don't move, it is not possible to modify it.
By the way, at the beginning you said udp had to be set on, 60hz, 2019 and now it has to be set off. So I think this is not a "validated process"
I am currently using fanalab 1.24 but it was the same with 1.23.

Okay here is the workaround "hack" to get F1 2020 working with FanaLab:
Go to direction C:\users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Fanatec\FanaLab\xml and open the configuration.xml file.
Then go to the F1 2020 lines and change the first lines to this:
<Game majorId="4" minorId="5" isHidden="False" isSupported="True" isFavorite="False">
<title>F1 2020</title>
<img>f1_2019.jpg</img>
<exe>F1_2020.exe</exe>
<exe>F1_2020_dx12.exe</exe>
<steamlaunch id="1080110" isSteamInstalled="True">steam://rungameid/1080110</steamlaunch>

C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Fanatec\FanaLab\Control\xml
edit: (I use fanalab 1.23)
Possible, as I use a much newer version which changed the directory indeed, but 1.23 should have the old directory...
Which FanaLab version are you using?
1.23
Interesting, okay thanks :)

You need to press the green buttons in Fanalab to enable Telemetry, it will ask you which UDP port you use in Game, which have to match.
Also you have to adjust your Rpm % to the ones in game, with that values the leds won't work because they are much too high.
I can't adjust nothing.
No need to adjust RPM LEDs, they match perfectly without Fanalab with this game, at least with my steering wheel (ClubSport Steering Wheel F1 2020)

Has anyone else experienced this?
Yes I meant Fanalab, sorry
The steering wheel rpm leds matches the ingame rpm leds except for the color

Ok if you are going to be extremely picky then you are right ;) but its better than 2019 :)

Did you do this part at the end?
set UDP-Send rate to 60Hz and then set UDP-Format to 2019, NOT 2020!
Yes, set that as per Maurice’s instruction. Set to 20888 in both FanaLab and F1 2020 and the format to ‘2019’.
Did you copy the text in Maurice’s post verbatim, or did you change anything else? Just trying to eliminate something obvious...

Sure. But there are bigger issues to fix.
I restarted the modification of the configuration file from beginning (I made a backup beforce any change this morning)
Leds still won't work but I can choose my UDP port (maybe because I reinstalled F1 2019?)
How can I adjust percentage of RPM?
edit: i just forgot to mention, leds flashes a fraction of seconds when I hit escape to go to the menu in the game. (since this morning)
Fair enough... been a few months though :)
How did you set the USP Broadcast Mode? On or off? This needs to be set to off, otherwise its indeed not working...
Worrying...
Reverted to the original config file and tried again. Works a treat now after fannying around with the LEDs. Again...
In the next version, it is known if they solve the issue, that the program closes when you are with the F3.5 car in iracing?
Yes that will be fixed.
thanks, it's the only problem I drag from the start.

Its Mode diffusion UDP in your language which is set to Active, therefore its not working, This setting has to be disabled!
Also, Votre telemetrie should be better set to limited, not public.
And yes, a lot of people have managed to get it working, its just an error in your config.
I tried to change every setting in the game, and copy/paste your configuration paragraph again this morning, it never works.
