v2.5 wheel base switching from xBox to PC mode randomly mid game

Playing AAC on xbox my wheelbase switches from xBox mode to PC mode randomly.
This can happen after 10 minutes of play or 2 hours, it's random.
My equipment was bought from Fanatec on November the 23rd and the fault developed around 20th of December.
All firmware is correctly installed and up to date.
I have tried my wheelbase/wheel/pedals connected to another xBox and it behaves exactly the same.
Is this a common known fault with a fix that can be applied easily

Which Firmware do you have flashed on the wheel base?
It has the v381 firmware
381 is not a firmware, but the driver. Did you update all included firmwares?
How do I update up firmware? I thought it was all done at the same time as the driver?
open the property page and you will be prompted to update
680?
exactly, 680 is the base firmware, you might also have to update the motor firmware if you aren't already on v22.
All equipment is up to date
Good, so any chance you might press the button combination to switch modes? from your pics I can see you are in XBOX mode atm.
The pictures just show the start up firmware display on the wheel LED display.
when playing/using the equipment it will freeze and switch to PC mode. All buttons become inactive when it happens.
I think what Sascha meant is that there is a button combination that lets you switch between PC and XBox mode, perhaps you're pressing these buttons together accidentally when playing?
I haven’t assigned either button to a function within the game play. Whilst playing I don’t touch either of them
Can you check whether these buttons get random 'ghost' presses? Not very likely but worth confirming that it's not happening.
My CSW 2.5 with McLaren GT3 v2 whilst playing ACC on XBOX Series X does exactly the same, randomly mid corner usually, the base switches from Green XBOX mode to RED PC mode. No buttons being pressed by me to manually switch mode. All drivers and FW are current.
I will test other games in case it is ACC specific, and I can test another XBOX model in case it is Series X specific, but it feels worryingly like a CSW issue. Anyone else got similar issue, or better still any suggestions or additional diagnostics to share please.
Thanks in advance.
I have just came across this exact scenario while using the Gran Turismo® DD Extreme. I thought something was wrong until I started randomly pressing buttons for 10 mins straight. Holding Triangle and clicking the button left of the center emblem switches PC/PS4/PS5/Xbox Modes
As explained in the manual, yes...............
I think they should change the button for that feature from Triangle to maybe the Tuning button under the display. Triangle might be too commonly used for that feature if I'm swapping compatibility modes mid race. Or at least a way to disable that feature since we can still use the power button.
As the likelyhood that someone presses exactly the two buttons which change modes at the exact same time during Racing is extremely small and there are basically no complaints at all over the last years and as this would need to be changed for the entire ecosystem for EVERY wheel in the firmware and in the manual for every wheel this is at this point no option at all given the current circumstances.
Also this thread is about the ClubSport Wheel Base V2.5 which does not have a mode change button btw.
