how can you have mechanical flex. I am using a mclaren v1 with the podium QR. Never had this issue before using 1.53 or no fanalab. I actually uninstalled 1.54 and went back to 1.53 and did not have the issue again. I raced the same race Suzuka with f 488 with the same setting about 10 times over the weekend and as I mentioned above while on 1.54 I had twice a freeze interestingly at the same point of the track at the s after the first turn.
You asked what Maurice meant with the flex, I answered it. And like Maurice wroote, freezing issues are more likely a result of this mechanical flex as they were driver and firmware related in the past. No1 else reported the freezes and I also believe this isn't on Fanalabs side. you could however reinstall 1.54 and collect the logs and send them to Marcel Pfister, when the freeze happens again.
I thought of giving you some more feedback of my experience. The way I drive is the same especially when it is the same car and same track.
I am just wondering how can you have mechanical flex. The equipment should be able to handle the forces generated by the power of the wheel correct. Otherwise something is not right.
As I said I use the QR and have the dd1 screw tight. Am I doing something wrong?
some wheelside QRs can have some play due tolerances in manufacturing, that can cause some flex in the wheel to base connection, as long as you tightened the baseside QR enough to make the rubber expand on the wheelside QR you should be fine.
I am running a Podium DD1 F1 with V3 Clubsport pedals and all components are updadet to the latest drivers just without the motor sensor calibration together with Fanalab 1.54.2.
I installed the wheel base settings from Maurice which are really nice and thanks on that place for all the efforts and time invested for doing that.
I am having 2 issues when I am racing ACC on PC
having the wheel base display ITM on. I get very heavy and strong hits into the base by random places on track but nearly every turn. No matter on streigths or turns, it is there. Only switching the ITM base display to default [Fanatec] will solve that issue. The Ferrari 488 has 88% FFB DD1 (0.75 at the .json file) 60% gain ingame and that high values causing a very strong impact to the base and arms, which is a problem when it happens in turns and driving on the limit. When I save the profile with ITM "Default" in Fanalab, next time starting the equipment will show same issues and I manually have to adjust to [Default] again. Since Maurice is using that settings on his DD2, I wonder if anybody else having those hits and what would be a solution to that issue? Does it only happen on the DD1 or DD2 as well?
Sometimes and not pretictable, both pedal motors start suddenly 100% vibrating, brake and throttle at the same time. Thats happening during a race and will not stop any more until I put the car back to the garage.
Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts and advices.
These hits are the so called jolts of the DD bases, which are a long time problem now and have yet to be fixed entirely, when using motor data or ITM screens on the DD base OLED. The currently only fix for this is to stay on the default logo screen on your DD base and disable any autopage features in the profile itself. This is however, not a Fanalab issue, but a driver/firmware issue.
Hi Sascha, thanks for your reply and unfortunatelly I am aware about that jolts. Mabe my question was not formulatet correct, sorry: How do I solve the saving base profile issue to avoid that I have to readjust to the "default" every time and secondly if other people also having those issues using Maurice base setting as well on a DD2, or is it mainly DD1 related?
Had to reinstall all fanatec / fanalab drivers and now run into an issue. Telemetry isnt working anymore due to missing the podiumrfactor2plugin I tried to find it in the bin32 folder but its not there. Found a post on the forum in the 1.47 version section but also clouldn't find a solution there. Don't know if its related but ITM also sint working in rfactor.
All worked fine before the reinstall. Already did a repair off Fanalab.
thank you very much for your advice. I still hope to get some feedback to my initial message but thanks for that point. Do you think this is the wrong forum place? Where to put that better according your opionion, thank you very much.

hello,
I chose the fanatec configuration, but in led dipslay i see only gear; no speed, no rpm, no flag. Only gear.
i need support.
thanks a lot
pietro
Maurice i updated to 1.54.2 but still the throttle vibration is not working consistently on iracing.
For iRacing you need to enable the pedal vibration in the iRacing options because it's not supported via FanaLab.
did you disable the Fanatec SDK in AC itself?
Maurice, since i nstalled 1.54.2 i had twice the wheel loccking up when ffb was almost full on iracing and freezing iracing
Freezing issues are not related to Fanalab but are wheel connection issues because of too much flex.
Hello Sascha,
do i need to activate SDK? in the AC settings there is no SDK item.
pietro
you need to disable the Fanatec LEDs ingame and enable telemetry and Fanalab's Game LED support in the game profile overview.
I turned off the Brake level indicator and got the throttle vibration back.
where did you turn it off?
what do you mean by flex? ffb? my wheel is set to 90 and in game in Iracing to 10
well I have. it works but not consistently. sometimes it does sometimes it does not.
mechanical flex between the wheelbase and steering wheel.

Hi Peter,
to your first issue:

I can't comment on the 2nd issue though.

Eliminate every autopage option, if you just want to be on the default screen it should look like this.
Had to reinstall all fanatec / fanalab drivers and now run into an issue. Telemetry isnt working anymore due to missing the podiumrfactor2plugin I tried to find it in the bin32 folder but its not there. Anyone? Tnx
The latest update of rF2 broke the communication too Fanalab. Please try the following:
Ok,
Ok, but i put 0 in file cfg of assetto corsa?
if you don't use Content Manager yes.
It would be really helpful to also add a LED-option that indicated when you drive over the pit-limiter-line.
I don't know if it's a bug in the 1.53 version but this is how it works for me:
This way I can see exactly when to disable the pit-limiter, for some reason this didn't work in 1.54.2.
thank you very much for your advice. I still hope to get some feedback to my initial message but thanks for that point. Do you think this is the wrong forum place? Where to put that better according your opionion, thank you very much.
Which game are you referring to? Does it still work that way if you revert back to 1.53?
this is my configuration in fanalab, file .ini is correct, but doesn't works yet.
Is it possible to add a blank screen to the DD1 ITM display? Would be nice to be able to make the wheel base go completely black.
