First of all i get freezes after some hours of gaming...
wheel property page freezes too and ingame it just keeps stuck at the position im on + pedals get stuck at current position too. Even if i have both wheel and pedals plugged in seperate to my pc via usb.
Second problem is tht my ffb changes from day to day. Playing ACC.
Lets say day 1 ffb is perfectly set... on day 2 i start the game again and ffb is completely different... with force and details beeing way less than the day before... of course without changing any settings.
The PBME on my 911 GT3 wheel is no longer detected by the 381 driver or Fanalab 1.54.2. Beta
Restarting everything, reinstalling the driver, removing the wheel, unplugging the PBME ... does not fix the issue. The buttons on the wheel do not operate anymore and the screen is dead.
Any idea how to get it back ?
Let me know if I can provide any files that would help fix this.
I gave it a try in ACC and DR2 and I did not like the result. I definitely prefer my DD1 with calibrated motor.
I simply erased motor calibration and launched my games. I guess I do not have to repeat the whole driver/firmware/motor firmware installation procedure and skip the calibration in order to get the proper result.
I have a problem with my Formula V2 (PS4) Wheel with the DD1 on PC.
Randomly and very often (avg. every 30 min), the wheel freezes. Buttons are not working anymore, nor the Advanced Module Paddle Shift. I however still have FFB on DD1 and Pedals are working correctly. Even ITM on the DD is working.
I read that this problem was fixed long time ago in a previous driver update, however it appeared for the first time with the new drivers (381).
I am on the driver 381 and the V38 of the Wheel...
Just today on a 3h our session, it occured 6 times in ACC.
I do not see any issues with the pin from the wheel nor the holes on the DD1. Sometimes the wheel shuts down completely and restart after few seconds, or most of the time it freezes and I have to unplug-plug the wheel again and it works directly.
Any suggestions? Thank you in advance and a happy new year 2021 :)
hi, i installed this drivers, to be honest is the best drivers and smooth drivers i ever use on my CSW 2.5 but not when im drifting in assetto corsa ,that's the more i do, the FFB just drop while drifting or just straight and came back few seconds later and all normal, some times do the same thing just starting runing or after a few minutes like 15 or 30min.. i dont think is a temp related issue becouse of that, the fans are working normal.
If the wheel does not freeze completely, but rather resets itself after a couple of seconds I would rather check if the USB port is faulty or if the USB power saving is active in the windows settings.
The freezes you refer to as fixed, made the base freeze completely and you couldn't use it at after that.
Gotta say, I've not experienced any ffb jolts while using ITM on this driver. Now I don't know if it's supposed to be fixed, or if I'm fulfilling some prerequisites that aren't well known, but it's nice to be able to use it now. Keep the updates coming guys 😁
No this is not possible because its intended to be an on/off switch which just Cuts Peaks down to the maximum Holding Torque (so DD1 to 15Nm Peaks and DD2 to 20Nm Peaks). That's it... Nothing to adjust.^^
That is not possible now is clear. I was saying why the regulation of the peaks with Interpolation and FEI is effective but it seems that the effect becomes too elastic and prolonged over time. Maybe even being able to adjust Linearity from 1 to 100 there are no benefits, it was just a curiosity to experiment again on the peaks.
I have a CSW V2.5 and I downloaded the new 381 driver package. After installing, when I go into the wheel property page, it asks me to update the firmware. I click on "yes" and the message disappears with the wheelbase going into update mode (blue light blinking). Nothing seems to happen after this point and I am never asked to actually flash the firmware. The same thing happens when I try to update the firmware of my wheel (Formula V2), the window just closes and nothing happens on my PC, just the LEDs on my base start blinking. Any ideas on what could cause this issue? I already tried to repair the installation, it doesnt change anything.
I had already twice this issue but unfortunately my wheel in fanatec service since december 2020 so cannot retry it but If my memroy servers I started one of the applications:
which could be found in C:\Program Files\Fanatec\Fanatec Wheel\fw and was able to finish the update process.
Is ther a known issue with the torque key? My rma dd1(f1 v2 rim) came back and everything else seems fine but despite the torque key is inserted, it still says low torque in the display and will not go above 8nm?
I have tried a different wheel, tried to change the modes, the key is in the right slot. Tried to remove the key and back.

Maybe i get a solution here.
base: DD1
pedals: clubsport v3
driver: 381 + all newest firmwares

Yeah, will do eventually. Perhaps it's something else.
Many people claim that they get a better feeling by skipping the motor calibration procedure.
Are there any drawbacks(or even risks in the long term) by erasing motor calibration without doing the sensor calibration procedure?
Happy DD1 owner here😀
Thank you in advance.
No drawbacks, only benefits. Im also running my DD1 without the ACV for weeks now, feels much better!

No need to reflash any FW, just detach the steering wheel and redo the motor calibration :)
Is the problem that you can't get the base into yellow mode or is the problem that when you are in yellow mode it's not working?
you get into yellow mode by pressing the mode button for 3 seconds
Make sure the cable is still plugged in, but if it isn't something obvious you probably need to contact support

Hi Sascha, the wheel always freeze completely, Just once it reset but I think I did not thighten enouh the rubber.
So my only problem is the wheel that freezes. The Base does not freeze, nor the pedals. These two are working fine, even while the wheel is freezing.
Okay I see, could you downgrade to the previous driver to see if this still happens? If it does, please contact the support.
Ok I'll try thank you!

It's not fixed in this driver, this will still take some time.
Interesting. I won't look a gift horse in the mouth either though, and I hope further developments go well. Keep it up!
Hi, for the Podium I would be curious if the FFB Linearity filter could be adjusted from 1 to 100 for intensity instead of on / off.

Which steering wheel?
Formula f1 v2. Its the blue base and rim :) tried also with the universal hub
and newest firmwares
I'm on the Fanatec logo and I still get a hard jolt before each race in Dirt Rally 2.
This seems to be the FFB kicking in when you take over the car. The same thing happens in F1 2020 etc. Seems to be Codemasters thing.
DW, this isn't the jolt most users are talking about :)
