He says it is black. Not difficult to work out that there is less chance of him not knowing the colour of his wheelbase than there is of him not knowing whether it's wheel or the base that determines PS4 compatibility. Use some common sense.
I downloaded the latest version of fanalab. when I want to start fanalab, the logo appears briefly and nothing else happens. where is the problem? uninstalled it 3 times and reinstalled it. Fanalab does not start.
Mine is a blue PS4 dd1. Everything working except cannot see the tuning menu. Definitely have updated the firmware and the drivers of blue F1 wheel. 100%
Thanks Maurice I remember you mentioning a while back that it would require a firmware update therefore I thought I'd see if there was any progress. To be fair it's been almost two years so I can't understand why adding orange leds is still far far away and what an oversight to begin with.. I can maybe understand gear based leds taking some time however to simply add another rgb colour whilst not making the builds doesn't make sense to me..
I appreciate that although they could have easily added orange a year or so ago as it's the vital one missing and then add the bells and whistles within the next 10 years..
the f1 wheel was attached last nightt. Tonight I have the CSL universal hub and its not showing in the software at all. Switched back to the F1 wheel and that's not appearing either. in the game they are working, but under active devices, nothing is appearing. CSL is working for playing in dirt 2 though. also had a play on F1 2021 and that worked too.
Hmmm, and now after a reset of the wheelbase its appearing again. Just a literally on and off. When I went into the control panel it asked me to switch the wheelbase on and off again.
Interestingly in ACC it was claiming the podium wasn't connected....and in fact a V2.5 clubsport was. It claimed this when I had to remap controls as they weren't responding. Curious. Maybe the wheel base has changed some default setting? How do you even switch this to PS4 mode? I haven't yet attempted to use it with a PS4/5 yet.
Sounds like you Switches into CSW V2.5 compatibility mode which has an issue that active devices in Fanalab only get recognized when you manually Hit the refresh button..
Iracing does not support that feature in their Telemetry, therefore this settings cant be displayed on the Display. So that's normal until maybe at some point iRacing opens their strict Telemetry more and add stuff like this.
If FanaLab doesn't start this could previously be fixed by deleting the Fanalab folder in C:\users\[username]\AppData\Local\PodiumControl and then restarting Fanalab.
I 100% didn't change anything manually myself, even if that has happened and it's switched to compat mode. Only change has been updating the software and the firmware.
How do you switch in and out of compat mode? I've only had the wheelbase a week and only used it on PC straight out the box as is. And which mode should I be using day to day with PC?
Final edit: after a lot of digging, I eventually found someone comment how to do it. Hold SH(bottom left button) and press Triangle(middle of the top right buttons) to cycle modes.
So currently, the use of the last Fanalab version for DD1 PS4 bases is everything but recommended, it seems... Could you maybe add this to the first post? "Luckily", I've downloaded it to try the new profiles, but was called away from my PC before I had a chance to install it.
Based on your comments in the profile's thread, these new profiles are not compatible with the old Fanalab version, correct? Could I open them with the Editor or Wordpad and manually dial them into my existing profiles?
I won't need the Vibration or LED settings as I neither use a Fanatec wheel nor pedals....
What is also a shame is that all the 'default' profiles have disappeared for the games. So the 'less hardcore' guys like me who just want a profile dialed in for the game by someone that knows what they're doing can't have that. I can't even convert the ones you get when you click 'recommended ffb' as the options are all different now, or at least differently named.
Cool idea, just sounds very complex. We need to see if this is possible as it needs to have very extensive work on both Firmware, SDK and FanaLab and includes an additional flood of information which needs go get transmitted. Maybe a more simple solution would be if the base could detect clipping and then either show it on the display for longer or even transmit one single information to the PC that it was clipping and later you could see if and for how often it was clipping. Would be less complex and maybe enough but even that will take its time and we need to see if its worth it.
Would you be able to reintroduce the fanatec default profiles for the games please? or even just put them up here for download and manual import? Or even just Dirt Rally 2 so I don't break my wrist this weekend running in my new shifter and handbrake :D

It is difficult when he says his base is PS4 compatible and that he once was in PS4 mode which actually is only possible with the PS4 compatible DD1.

Common Sense Doesnt explains why he was able to switch into Playstation mode when his base cant do that though.

away from my pc.. did Orange led's get implemented or the ability to set rpm values per gear..?
Try delete fanalab folder somewhere inside appdata folder, I can't remember the exact path and I'm not home
No, as I said earlier this year to you, both is on the list but far, far away... :/

Because there is more than just orange planned.
I also desperately want orange but it is what it is and I personally dont think it's coming anytime in the near future.

What we are asking for is basic.. trully it is..
You still think he might have the PS4 version. 🤣

MIne is a blue PS4 dd1 too, and I update all firmware. Everything working except cannot see the tuning menu.
"Added: More display telemetry data: the current ABS, TC, and brake balance settings for 7-segment and OLED displays.
ABS and TC values are not showing on my Podium Endurance Module for iRacing.
Hardware To reproduce:
Wheelbase - CSW 2.5
Wheel - Podium Porsche 911 GT3 R
Drivers v410 and Fanalab 1.57.2. In game car used Mercedes AMG GT3.
Expected:
The current ABS, TC, fuel map and brake balance settings to be displayed and change when updated in car.
Actual:
ABS, TC and Map to be displayed, they are not. Brake bias is OK.
Iracing does not support that feature in their Telemetry, therefore this settings cant be displayed on the Display. So that's normal until maybe at some point iRacing opens their strict Telemetry more and add stuff like this.
I did everything. I can't find any other files from fanalab or Endor or Fanatec either. I deleted everything but it still doesn't start
If FanaLab doesn't start this could previously be fixed by deleting the Fanalab folder in C:\users\[username]\AppData\Local\PodiumControl and then restarting Fanalab.
Maybe this will help on your case?

EDIT: reading the manual here, page 40, it says the firmware update may reset the wheel compat mode. So how do I switch my F1 wheel back to PC? https://fanatec.com/media/pdf/ee/b3/ee/P-RW-F1Manual-EU-AU-EN_web02.pdf

Do you mean ClubSport Base V2 is not detected?
Thanks to everyone, we were also now able to reproduce the issue and are working on a fix.
Yes I think here is the best way to post ideas.

WEEEYYYY!

Thanks for the reminder, added some findings to the 1st post.
This issue seems related, I'll make sure both things are covered.
The Recommended settings are also here in the forum btw.
