CSL DD it feels like I went from 8nm to 3nm. FFB Issues
I was @ redbull ring taking turn 6 when my FFB dropped to nothing mid turn. I waited a good 10 seconds and it came back on now it’s working what feels like 25% FFB even though it set to 100.
I tried resetting my pc. I removed my mclaren v2 no pins are bent plastic qr lite is normal and intact. All my firmware is up to date. PSU (boost pack) looks fine with a blue led light on the brick.
I hopped on ACC cause the FFB is way stronger there and it feels so muted now. To a point where I barely feel any in a turn. Anyone experiencing or has experienced these issues? any fixes? Really don’t want to RMA and really don’t know if it’s my wheels fault or the base.

I would contact support, the CSL DD has no fans and just uses the body of the base as a heat sink/dissipater. I’m pretty sure it has a temperature sensor that will lower the FFB if it exceeds a certain temperature. If that sensor is malfunctioning, then your FFB will be limited even if the unit isn’t hot.
I have a CSL DD on the way and I've already thought about adding my own heatsinks to it, or even a fan as passive cooling can only do so much, I wonder if they've been fully tested in hot environments for prolonged periods of time?
Seems strange though that it hasn't since returned to its normal strength, usually after a heat issue things go back to normal once fully cooled.
I only chose the 2 year warranty when I made the order, I think I'll contact support to see if I can still add the extra 1 year for the €49 as essentially it's a new product so could be prone to issues.
There are two USB-C ports on the rear of the unit so maybe a USB powered PC fan can be added as a DIY cooling solution if a suitable fab can found that'll run off of just 5v (assuming the USB-C port on the back of the CSL DD outputs 5v).

There is no need to do this.

Yes.
Well that's good to know.
I can assure you it’s not a heat issue. I don’t think I have even used to the DD for more than 2hours a day. It’s always cold to the touch as well.
As Joshua says, a sensor could be malfunctioning. You should contact support so that we can help you.

Have you tried using a different USB socket?
