what colour is the light next to the power button red = pc/ blue = console, and are you using the correct fanalab software https://forum.fanatec.com/categories/fanalab
also it could be windows or virus software or firewall not letting the communication complete ?
also here is the driver and firmware instructions https://fanatec.com/media/pdf/a6/ee/64/Driver-Firmware-Instructions-Manual-EN_Web_02_MO.pdf
hope that helps.
Same issue here. Bought a CSL Elite for PS4 with CSL Elite pedals second hand.
Current base firmware 448
Current motor firmware 18 (though after several tries, it now says 0)
The firmware manager software just freezes (not responding).
Tried it on windows laptop, MacBook with Windows installed on it, removed it and reinstalled it, checked virus software and I am completely clueless... Also tried to update them on the pop-up message of the software starting, update it from the software 415 with the big green button near the P1 steering wheel and through the manual update seperately for the wheel base and the motor.
And yes, mode is PC-mode, manual is followed, but the software just freezes.
hi the light is Red for PC
fanalab software doesn't make a difference when changing firmware?
Yeah its an odd one, and my base is way out of date firmware wise i feel like we are missing out on the improvements
My CSL elite wheelbase is not being detected at all even though it's in PC mode. It starts up, moves the steering wheel around, but is not detected by my computer and ps5.... somebody
Did you fix it?
Hey guys I was having the same problem and fixed it by using a new USB cable and plugging it into a USB 2.0 port. Once the firmware updated I was able to use the Club Sport V2 when before it wouldn't even turn on. Good Luck!
Did you manage to fix it? I had the same issue and was able to resolve mine by progressively doing the updates using older Drivers first instead of using the latest one.
Here's a post I made detailing what I did: https://forum.fanatec.com/discussion/25408/solution-csl-elite-firmware-not-updating#latest
