Hi Ryan, the seq/padde shifter issue we've tried to reproduce with different PCs, bases and shifters but could not re-create the issue you are describing. In our case with any restart of base, PC or both the setting is saved properly.
The pedal vibration I could reproduce, the new UI won't vibrate when a BLI percentage is set while the old UI will. We'll have a look.
Thanks for the feedback regarding the improved feel.
I have encountered a bug with the new update. when I tried to raise the FFB on the wheel (from 40 to 50) I realized that it had no effect. To be able to upload it and for it to take effect, you have to change your profile and then return to the profile you wanted to upload. dd1 with bmw gt2 I have high torque and working perfectly. now the calibration of the steering wheel is correct and it stops in the center
CSL DD + BMW GT2 ghost input issue still not fully fixed, but definitely better after this update. I was having constant ghost inputs, ~every third press of funky switch. Its now happening rarely, every 100th press or so, sometimes none at all.
At present when I turn on my csl elite PS5 the display on the V2 wheel is wrong looks scrabbled then once wheel goes through its testing it back to normal I will redo firmware as a test to see if it's a big or just a one off thing
I understand the request but I am not sure if Fanatec could or should do that. Think about a CD record: If a track on a CD is not loud enough, it is impossible for the vendor of your HiFi Amp to allow it to work on 2x the volume. Even if that would be possible, there is high risk for the hardware and for all other "CDs" (games) which do not suffer from this issue.
This is just something which should not be corrected in the FW of such a HW device.
Hm, was fine when I've tried with the Formula V2 on the P DD, both gear number instructions were matching. I only know that they can get out of sync if you start the calibration in the UI but progress to do the calibration on the wheel instead of the UI where it was started.
handbrake is plugged in via base or CSP V3? The calibration of the handbrake only works if its plugged in via the pedals. We are looking into if we can add this function also tho when the handbrake is plugged into the base.
Does the P1 wheel looses the function always or just if you attach it after the issue is already present with the BMW without a restart in between both wheels?
Good point, I'm already waiting for a wheel of a customer which has two F1 Esports but the issue only happened with one of them. If someone else is interested in sending us his hardware for analysis we can arrange it. Preferable from Germany because of the quicker shipping.
Thanks for your feedback we could also see now that even though it is improved, the issue isn't solved completely yet and seems to be better or worse depending on the wheel/base combination. We will continue to work on this issue and try to solve it completely with the next update.
Most likely after the issue was already present with the BMW wheel. I will try again this evening and reinstall 4.23+firmware to check and report back.
Updated DD2 base and motor firmwares from 415. Only slight minor issue was after calibration of motor and reattach my Formula V2 wheel, complete centering, after I reattached my Xbox series x, I couldn’t set Xbox mode. It only toggled between PC and compatible mode.
I powered off the base, and on restart I could set Xbox mode. That was the only issue I had.
The fan was running full on the base after the motor update but before calibration.
I had only a chance to test the updated motor and base firmware in one 25% race in F1 2021 but there’s huge difference in the feedback. I found over a second up at the Red Bull ring online Qualifying and race so I wasn’t pushing excessively but there’s a remarkable improvement.
I also found 3 higher maximum rotation values past 2250 now in new firmware and this also helps immensely with the broken wheel rotation angle bug in F1 2021.
The 3 additional angles do increase in F1 2021 the rotation and that’s another great addition in this update.
Alright, your suspicion was correct, I just updated again to 4.23 and FW 1.0.4.2, this time with the P1 mounted when updating the firmware. The P1 behaved perfectly normal. So I changed to the BMW wheel again, and this time the dpad function and the button worked fine, too! Also I couldn't reproduce getting stuck in the setup menu on the wheel, although navigating is a bit cumbersome as the dpad left/right happen to register often two or three times, but it looks like this is limited to the setup menu, in the steering wheel display of the driver it looks fine. The random button issue is still not perfect, but way better than yesterday.
I did several tests to try finding a pattern to get to the state I encountered yesterday, power up with the BMW wheel attached, changing modes and what not, I was not able to reproduce the situation whatsoever. While this won't help you much in debugging, I'm kind of relieved the problem did not reoccur.
Not sure if there was a reply to this, for me it seems to happen if you turn on the wheel base and don't touch it for a few minutes. So maybe something for you to try?
If you activate high torque mode right away, it's not been an issue.
Using CSW base 2.5 with UH (not Xbox)PC Driver 423, FW 687 WBM 22...In the previous Driver, the throttle and brake rumble worked with the test button in the driver, now with driver v423 the rumble for both TH+BR are not working. Not using FanaLab or FanaLeds!
i don't use fanalab and i play on ps5. when I try to raise or lower the FFB on the steering wheel in the adjustment menu (between 0 and 100) it has no effect unless you change the profile (s-1, s-2 ...) so that the raise can take effect or FFB download you have to change your profile and then return to the profile you wanted to raise or lower the FFB. It is a bug that I did not have before the v423 update. Anyway I am going to record a video and upload it here so you can see the problem in case I could not explain it well since I am Spanish and my English is very low
Does the update work with a previous driver or maybe after re-installing the new one?
According to the logs the Formula V2 was not attached or an update not tried, can you maybe export it another time, maybe the timing was bad and it wasn't caught. Thanks and sorry for the hassle
So you are able to either have the low torque issue or not have it depending on how you handle the booting and torque unlocking? Can you please go into a bit more detail on both ways 1. how to get the issue 2. how to not get the issue and maybe making a video? This could be very helpful, thanks in advance.
Thanks, looking forward to the video because it sounds quite complex. When you've recorded the video you could try to flash the same firmware again using the manual checkbox in the top right of the firmware manager to see if it maybe goes away.
Best driver/firmware package yet. Installed and updated from 415 without issue and my DD2 feels great. Best it's felt since purchase. Keep up the good work, guys.

New driver installed fine, Porsche 918 wheel too, but after that the formula V2 failed, no response.

I've re-uploaded FanaLab 1.54 now as the previous file didn't work anymore.

also re-attaching the Fomula V2 didn't bring the function of the button back?
we are talking about the marked button right?

I don't fully understand the issue you are describing, can you please give an overview of your hardware setup and if you are talking about FanaLab.
Regarding BMW GT2 ghost inputs on CSL DD

Can you go a bit more into detail?
What has no response, the wheel or the base?
Did you try to restart and re-attach it already?
Does the wheel gets shown by the driver?
Does the tuning button on the wheel work or the display light up when booting with the wheel attached?
The update window stays on "please wait" titled no responding.
Already tried reattach and repeat whole update but error still the same.
Wheel is shown but still on fw38 and showing new update fw41 available.
Wheel is working fine beside the update procedure failing.
Most likely after the issue was already present with the BMW wheel. I will try again this evening and reinstall 4.23+firmware to check and report back.

Is there any reports of problems with the right paddle shifter in combination with the ghost buttons ?
My works a couple of times then it’s dead, if I remove and install the wheel it works again for about 10 shifts.
I’m beginning to believe that it’s two separate problems ?
But my biggest problem is that tuningmenu opens and I’m stuck there if I use the funky switch.

The reported ghost inputs are happening with using the FunkySwitch/D-Pad but I'm not aware of issues with the shifter paddle itself.
Thanks you for the updated feedback, good to know that the P1 itself was not affected or creating a new issue.
