Does the situation change with the wheel removed or the base turned off?
If the UI works without the base running you can use the collect log function. If this is not working you can find the logs here: C:\Users\Public\Fanatec Logs . Windows event logs would also be helpful.
it happened right after the update and no button worked. I only react the second time I turn off the base. Since that day it has not failed again, but I have only turned it on two more times and without problems. in the previous update during a one-hour downtime I failed the first time. but when turning the base off and on it worked perfectly and I didn't care. it had never happened to me before

We are working on the fix which should be available soon.
While Maurice recommends it that way, I never do that, I always just install the next version 😀
As soon as anything doesn't work -> Run repair function of the installer and re-start the PC

It was only a cosmetic issue of the UI, I think its fixed, please let me know if also for you
Yup, but you also have available the know how on to reset the base in case that is bricked. 🤣
Or such a thing doesn't exist and bricked bases are being sent to recycling? 🤔
Is this normal for startup after downloading latest driver and firmware??? I cant seem to post a video, but wheel spins very quickly once powered on
Without a video nobody can answer this
Okay thanks for reply.
No, there´s no min / max buttons to click.
It's the same even when the base is off
Similarly, after 2-3 seconds, the window closes like a crash.
I have attached the log
Thanks for answering my question
hope the problem is solved

Hi,
Coming from 429, uninstalled it first and then updated to 431.
Flashing the DD2: 690 -> OK
Flashing Motor: 42 -> OK
Flashing 2 Formula V2 wheels to 43 went fine as well.
Flashing PBME module:-> FAILED. Module is now bricked and not recognized anymore.
Flashing McLaren GT3 v1 wheel: -> FAILED. Wheel is not recognized. DD2 display says:
CAUTION
Steering Wheel not supported!
Please update the Firmware!
Porsche wheel shows as PODIUM HUB, which is correct but without recognizing the PBME.
I've submitted a support ticket. They will reply within 7 days (hopefully).
In the meantime: does anyone know how to recover the wheel / PBME module? I tried to revert to 429 as well, but no luck. I'm afraid they're bricked
Thanks,
Richard

You can force another firmware update of the base by pressing the power button for 10 seconds to start it. This should then flash the firmware again.
