Exact same issue for me, Fanalab simpy prevent screens (probably PC too) to go in sleep mode. A bit anoying if you forgot to turn the app off or set it to start with windows...
In one of his videos Romain Grosjean mentions that he sets settings1 for Iracing, 2 for F1 etc. I too want to set each 5 setting for five different games but somehow I could not make it work that way. The last tab, "Game profile" recalls game specific profiles. When i manually load/import a profile it changes all 5 settings at the same time. and what ever i set for the current game is overwritten.
The only way i could make it is setting everything manually as follows
1- Adjust parameters for Game A in set1
2- Save profile
3- Open Game B
4- Manually find profile and load
5- Move to Set 2 and adjust settings for Game B
6- Save again and repeat for other games .
This method requires making notes of each parameter per game on paper first. If it would be for once, it was not a problem But both Fanatec and games frequently update software and FFB which mess everything. It would be great if there was a profile preview option before loading it that i could select let's say set 2 of it in to my set4 of current profile.
Until we have something like that what is the easiest way to do it?
I honestly don't even bother with loading the different profile numbers. Fanalab lets you set a default profile in each game's menu, which will auto-load when that particular game launches.
The numbered profile slots were a huge help when I played a lot on Xbox (and thus no access to Fanalab), but now with access to it, I find there's really no need.
hello i want to tell that there is an issue due to profile of bmw m4 gt3 in game assetto corsa competizione especially the leds of the game are not synched with the formula v2 leds...the lights turns on in the wheel about 1 second deelay by the sim in game dashboard, can marcel fix it?
Click the two green buttons in the Game Profile Tab, Enable Telemetry and Enable Fanalab support. This will explain how to disable native in game LEDs for every game.
Hi, I'm looking for some advice on Fanalab which I just installed. I'm not very familiar with it because I just moved to a new country and my gear was all packed for over a year. So I have some quite basic questions (I hope) that I couldn't get the answers to off of YouTube.
I'm trying to put my finger on what I am doing wrong.
All drivers are updated except for the Quick Release V6 which doesn't want to update for some reason.
I can go into the Tuning Menu and tweak sliders and make pedal changes in the Vibration tab, but I cannot seem to be able to work out how to save these changes as a new profile as the Save button is never not greyed out.....and yeah, I'm not sure why the pedal and wheel don't list.
Can anyone give me an idea what I'm doing wrong please?
Which driver do you have installed and which was the last version which you had installed before updating to this 1.61.3?
Could be your profiles are not compatible or something else broke, then deleting the folder in C:\users\[username]\AppData\Local\PodiumControl and then restarting Fanalab helps to get it running again.
Still having the same problem 1 day later.. I really need fanalab to be working, so if anyone has a solution to my problem in the quote, that'd be great
I've Just now got rid of the new Fanalab, and new drivers, and installed Driver 429 and downloaded fanalab 1.60.6, and I am still experiencing the issue where I click to open fanalab, it shows me the fanatec logo, and then it shuts down again.
Make sure do uninstall FanaLab and delete the following two folders completely:
C:\users\[username]\AppData\Local\PodiumControl
C:\users\[username]\AppData\Local\Fanatec\FanaLab (attention: this deletes the game profiles, make a backup if you have profiles from older version which you might want to restore later)
Then restart the PC. Then install FanaLab again, check the checkmark to reset Global settings in the installation process, reboot the PC and try to start FanaLab again.
If all that doesnt help then you can only provide us with your Windows Event Application Logs of the FanaLab crashes here so the dev can investigate and fix it in the future.
It definetely wont work by this Friday if its an issue with the current FanaLab version, somehow only affecting you as the only one out there...
To find and fix such a rare-case and not widespread issue takes some time.
Search for "Event Viewer" in your Windows, open it, on the left click on "Windows Protocols" and expand it and there click on "Applications" and then scroll through all the application error logs and search for red events with an exclamation mark which are related to FanaLab. Select all of them with a single left-mouse click while holding CTRL and then save the selected events and provide them here.

Hello,
Do you have CSW 2.5 profiles?

Marcel for sure cant fix this, it's me who did the profile ;)
In ACC the profile of the M4 is perfect. Sounds like you did not disabled native in game LEDs when it's not synced.
oh sorry mate...how can i disable native ingame LEDs?
Click the two green buttons in the Game Profile Tab, Enable Telemetry and Enable Fanalab support. This will explain how to disable native in game LEDs for every game.

In the 2nd image you'll see that my gear seems to have no trouble being recognised and I can play all the games with no trouble.
In the 3rd image you will see that the wheel itself and the pedals are not listed under the device tab.....just the DD1.
Telemetry has been enabled, as has LED/Hardware.
I can go into the Tuning Menu and tweak sliders and make pedal changes in the Vibration tab, but I cannot seem to be able to work out how to save these changes as a new profile as the Save button is never not greyed out.....and yeah, I'm not sure why the pedal and wheel don't list.

It is greyed out because you can not overwrite the recommended profile.
You need to choose a different Name and then you can save.
Hey there,
For some reason when I try to load fanalab, it opens the fanatec logo, and then shuts off and disappears..
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and does the same thing.
It's even doing it with previous versions..
Any solutions?

I just deleted both my drivers and fanalab, reinstalled both the newest Fanatec driver, and then downloaded Fanalab, and it still failed to load..
I did also check for that file, but it is not there
I currently have the latest driver and the latest version of fanalab. I tried a previous version of fanalab, and still the same issue.
However, before I changed to the latest driver, Fanalab was running, but would not recognise my wheel (Clubsport V2) or wheel base (Clubsport CSW2.5)
Hi,
Is this Fanalab version compatable with driver 429 and its firmwares?
No. Only with 431 or newer, as described in the first post.
Ok cheers :(

Could be because it is running already in your system tray?
Just checked, Fanalab is not running in the system tray
This is what the file name is when I try and install it.. I don't think this is correct..
When I try and load fanalab, it always shows the Fanatec logo, and then shuts down and never loads
That is the correct Name.
I still dont get why it wont load.. :/

Okay thank you! Will give this a shot now.
I have also uninstalled the fanatec Drivers. Should I install them first before Fanalab?
Yes. Without a driver Fanalab wont start.
BTW both programs have to be installed into their default location on C in order they can see each other.
Yeah they're both in the C drive. The Fanalab file being in Program Files x86 and the Fanatec Wheel file being in Porgram Files.
And it still did not work :/
Where do I find the Windows Event Application Logs? And how soon do you reckon it'll be fixed?
I really hoped it would work, as I need it to be working by This Friday :/
