Appreciate the post and have good (excellent) news, everything is working! Support got back to me really quick and sent me a file to reflash the firmware and everything went without any issues and I'm now the proud and excited owner of a working podium Porsche wheel :) Happy racing!
The description on the website regarding CSW 2.5 support has been changed from Q1 2020 to "in a future update". Is the update still on for Q1 2020? Do you have updates when we can expect it? March I am guessing?
I would definitely say to contact support and let them know the firmware errored out during the update. The file they sent me seems like it's strictly for updating the BME firmware, so even if it were to error out, I think you could just run it over and over until it finally finishes. Best of luck!
What are you using the PBME with... Podium Hub or Xbox Hub???
If your using with the Podium Hub did you update the Podium Hub 1st??? If Not unplug the PBME from the Podium Hub --> Update the Hub alone 1st --> Plug PBME back in then try to update PBME Fw again and report back.
i bought the Podium Steering Wheel Porsche 911 GT3 R with PBME and found 3 things which are not working proper
1: The upper little Shifter are inverted (when i press the upper right Shifter, Software shows me the upper left is pressed and the same when i press the upper left Shifter, Software shows me that the upper right Shifter was pressed)
2: Analog Stick up and down are inverted (i read that this is a known Bug, all other Wheels the Analog Stick works correct)
3: FunkyStick pushed will trigger PlayStation + Cross Button on PS4 at the same time (that will always quiet the current Game unintentional)
for all of this 3 Issues i already sent Videos per Mail to the Support Team but if needed i can upload it, just let me know
PC driver 356 (i updated all parts of my System with this Release, don't know at the moment which single Versions but i did on all of the Components the required updates)
Button Module Endurance Software Package 1.2
Wheelbase firmware (What was included in Software installation package 356)
Wheelbase Motor firmware (What was included in Software installation package 356)
steering wheel firmware (What was included in Software installation package 356)
Podium hub firmware (What was included in Software installation package 356)
And there We have it. Your CSW v2.5 is not compatible with the BME yet. A firmware update to get get it partially compatible (no ITM mode, just Legacy mode) is expected later this year (few weeks ago Q1 was mentioned but removed in the meantime).
Oh dang this is the same thing that happened to me. I put in a support request, hoping they get back to me soon with a firmware file I can use. Does one typically get a receipt email from them regarding the support request or am I just missing something on their website where pending support requests live. I can live with waiting for a response but it seems odd to have no confirmation
I never got a receipt email, just the reply with the file and instructions attached to it. In my case, they replied within ~12 hours or so, so hopefully will be the same case with you.
Having the upper shifter paddles inverted makes me beleive you have the FW v1 in the P HUB instead of the v2, so I would suggest to check the fw version of it.
when i connected the Porsche Wheel with Podium Hub and Button Module the first time it pops up twice automatically for updates and after that i thought all drivers are up to date 🙈
Upper small Shifters now working on both sides!
Anyway on the PBME when i push the FS it triggers Cross + PS Button at the same time! Is this also a Firmware Problem or Hardware wiring?
nobody seems to answer with the release date of firmware for clubsport 2.5. First it was q1 of 2020, after they left that at the end of the year, you really think that someone believes it? that they have not sold enough podium bases and they want to tire us and force us to pass customers of the 1st class "podium" to segment sales of its base?. Make some buttons work and the screen only Legacy mode, like any fanatec steering wheel, I'm sorry but nobody believes it, very disappointed the truth with the sales policy they are following.
does anyone do have the software to flash the Advanced Button Module after it died from flashing before? I called the support yesterday and they wanted to send me an email with software and instructions but i didn't received it till now. Maybe they have a technical issue because i couldn't create a support request. Checked also SPAM, nothing received. Maybe some else had the same problem and can send me the instructions and software?
I hope this isn't against the rules or anything and while support was quick to get back to me, some people have messaged me asking for the file because they hadn't had a reply back from them yet. I put the BME firmware file up on my dropbox for anyone who needs it. Make sure the problem you are having is that the BME failed the firmware update and/or isn't being detected. Again, hope this isn't against any forum rules or anything, and if it is obviously delete it, I just thought it might make it easier for some people who might have the same problem I had!
V2.5 support is under development but as there are other things to solve first it needs to wait until those are fixed. We don't want or need to artificially limit the user base of this product but it doesn't make sense to rush the support and just increase the amount of people having issues.
Has anyone tried RaceRoom with the DD2 and the Porsche Endurance wheel? I keep feeling random jolts during races. It doesn't move the wheel much, but its annoying me because its a very hard jolt. It doesnt spin the wheel, but it feels like that kind of jolt where the wheel stays in place though.
more problems generate that we have a flyer of 700 euros and only the cams work, if in the end we will have to ask for forgiveness for asking and especially for having bought it, because nothing continues to take betas for their podiums and for the CSW 2.5 users a final firmware, that will be developed in many months, according to what they say in their forum. For having a keypad work, "seriously"
it's frustrating
And it was always communicated that the firmware for the CSW v2.5 won't be out anytime earlier than Q1 2020 and Q1 isn't even half over, so actually you can not complain at all and you shouldn't have bought the BME in the first place if you can't wait until the firmware is ready because you knew the fact that it's not compatible yet.
you are not mistaken, if it comes out in Q1 nor I would complain that I knew it when I bought it, the problem is when you say that there is no date, that it will come out at the end of this year and you change from Q1 to future update and all that you have written in several threads of the forum, but do not worry that I will not complain anymore, as you say we should not have bought it, you are absolutely right.

Maybe. Which wheel base? Which driver? Which firmware?
Hopefully that means sooner rather than later.
I'm really happy for you.
But I can't say the same about my PBME.
I sent to RMA, Fanatec told they update the firmware back.
I received last friday. I connected it, the display was working...
When I opened the Fanatec's drivers, A message to update the PBME popup. And then, the same message again.
I'm so frustrated.

Thank you Mark, for your help.
I still waiting for the Fanatec Support, I will wait until the end of week for a final solution.

Hello Lorrell.
I'm using Podium HUB(version 2)
Everything is updated and just go it from the Fanatec's support(RMA).
There is something wrong with my stuff.

Hi there, any news regarding the FS Push operation on PS4?
Firmware Bug or something wired together in the Module?
thanks

Obviously download and run at your own risk etc etc

Makes absolutely sense! Thanks for info!
It worked for me and my ABM is alive and working. Thanks for sharing mate!

It's far more than just a keycap.
